Hand played out at the G Casino 25/25 in Manchester yesterday.

I hadnt played a hand for nearly 45 mins, loads of limping as usual and lots of passive play.

Blinds 100/200, eff stacks 25k.

Villian 1 raises to 500, villian 2 folds, hero 3bets to 1650 with KQs in LP.

Both call and we see a flop of 952 rainbow.

both check to hero who cbets 2700 into pot of around 5000.

villian 1 flats, villian 2 flats.

At this point I had both villians down for PP's, although villian 1 could have floated hoping villian 2 folds then try to take it down HU.

Turn brought Ace.

Again both check to hero who bets out 7700.  Villian 1 folds and villian 2 calls after some thought.

River brings another 5.

Pot is roughly 28000.

Hero??

Suits are really important in these spots

And sometimes you just gotta give up, or know your opponent has a propensity to fold

meh, i think on the ace we should just go 3 streets if he reluctantly calls the turn.

he overcalled flop, so never has Ax without a pair on the flop. So he has to have called pre and then called a squeeze with A2,A5,A9, obviously sometimes a set.

Just get a live read on the turn and then go with if he isn't hollywooding.

Generally, checking will be quite bad I think.

Less on the turn to set up the bigger river too is feasible, although if we expect him to ALWAYS fold his marginal hands on the river and to call the turn quite often then we even get value on the turn from a bigger sizing.

Is there any time we'd be expecting villain to call flop after one has already called with nothing? ie A high?

I feel like a jam would work as played but yeah it's not a situation you should put yourself in too often because you haven't given up earlier.

Lol, probably look to give up.. Villain SHOULD be folding river, but I can easily be convinced he won't.
