£75 freezeout at the 200 / 400 / 50a level

I have around 22k in Seat 2
Seat 8 has me covered by a little (c.24k)
Seat 3 has around 12k

Seat 4 is the button;

Seat 7 Limps UTG, Seat 8 calls as does Seat 1

I have  and make it 2600

Seat 3 shoves his 12k

Folds round to seat 8 who re-shoves his 24k

Seat 1 tanks for around 5 minutes and folds.

I call.

Seat 8 has
Seat 3 has

Aces hold.

seat 1 folded Queens. (Live poker is so rigged)

Now my gut feel at the time was it's AA v KK and therefore a simple cooler but as I thought more and discussed it I started to think it was a bad call with people saying 'he can only have aces there. Now I disagree with that statement but does he have AA often enough to make it a fold??

Then my thinking came full circle as I thought, 'what if seat 8 wasn't there?' Now I know that's a massive IF but humour me for a minute. Let's say he's gone for a cigarette and missed the hand. The hand plays out the same except Seat 1 now re-shoves his Queens whenn it comes around to him and this time I am ahead and win. Very results orientated I know but hopefully people can see where I am coming from.

Thoughts?

Folding here would have to be for a very specific reason I think. It does depend on the player and the table to a certain extent but I am pretty sure I am never folding KK 55BB deep with antes in play.

This basically comes down to the question, does the player in question also shove with QQ and AK? I would have thought most players would in this spot with at least QQ and often AK as well, sometimes even JJ.

My reason behind this being that seat 3 has been given a great chance to add a good percentage to his stack by getting everybody to fold so it is far from impossible that he is a little bit light here (depending on who it is of course, some players can only have AA here but they are fairly few and far between so I would not be worrying about them). Knowing this then I think it is perfectly reasonable for seat 8 to have QQ and AK in his range.

I do think you see AA in this spot quite a lot but nowhere near often enough to make this a fold. There is so much in there and against a range of AA, QQ and AK you are a massive favorite obviously.

Does that make sense?

PS - good post.
