If you VPN to a computer in the UK, and that's the one connected to Stars, how will they know?

If you dc and reconnect it can cause problems. At least that's what people who i know have been caught said.

I'm not talking about hiding your IP by using an proxy (as Stu did).
I'm talking about controlling the mouse and keyboard of a computer in the UK remotely. The computer logged into Stars is in the UK, and that's the IP Stars would see you're using.
I have an app that enables me to control my PC mouse and keyboard from my android phone. Same sort of thing as TeamViewer.
Maybe someone with more techie knowledge than me will tell me that Stars is able to detect the presence of a VPN to a computer it's running on. That might be possible, but lots of people use VPNs on their computers, to access email or company intranets, etc. In fact I'm sure I've played on stars whilst accessing another computer via a VPN (to access work files).

Just to add to the silly questions, why couldn't Matt just sign up for an ES account?

I would have had no idea that I wasn't allowed to play in Spain, or France for that matter.
If I had attempted it, would I have been insta-banned or would I have been warned that I was about to break the rules?

So now if I go abroad, I can't use my fancy new phone and my Stars app to play poker?
Is there a list if illegal countries?

Lots of people here seem to have Fr accounts so I'm guessing there's something you can do with that?

US obv, don't even login here. Italy and Spain both are theoretically banned though I am not sure how harsh stars are on innocent indiscretions. France not sure, would imagine it is like their mediterranean compadres. China blocks you by firewall from many things, but there are workarounds and stars seems fine with it. You see Chinese players online etc.
