Cruise Chronicles, Day 5

These two, espying I was sitting alone, came & joined me for a drink.

He is either Hale or Pace, I can't recall which, but he's deffo one or the other, at least that's what someone told me. I gather they are comedians.

I remarked how alike he looked to one of my great heroes, the much-maligned Lord Archer, he did not seem impressed at all.

The Lady - who is either his Sister, or his wife, I forget which (I think it is his sister) reminded me SO much of one of the "Two Fat Ladies" who used to be TV cooks. I said "you remind me of someone, but I don't think I had better mention who".

"Tell me, tell me" she implored, "PLEASE".

So I said, "well, a MUCH younger, &  VERY much slimmer version of one of the Two Fat Ladies".

At which she slaps me, walks off in a huff, & has not spoken to me since. Meanwhile, Hale - or is it Pace - says "serves you right tikay, but fair play mate, you are a braver man than me".

Women are so weird, but you gotta love them.

Sorry Red, no can do - we & cbass are on non-speakers, she keeps whacking me every time I see her. Punches  her weight, too.
