Pacific, $1.80 Buy-in (100/200 blinds, 20 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

CO: 2,560 (12.8 bb)
BTN: 5,820 (29.1 bb)
SB: 10,878 (54.4 bb)
BB: 9,637 (48.2 bb)
UTG+1: 12,127 (60.6 bb)
UTG+2: 2,660 (13.3 bb)
Hero (MP1): 3,610 (18.1 bb)
MP2: 2,980 (14.9 bb)
MP3: 19,128 (95.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with
2 folds, Hero raises to 400, 2 folds, CO calls 400, 2 folds, BB calls 200

Flop: (1,480) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: (1,480) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 740, CO raises to 1,480, BB folds

With only 15 hands on villain but playing in a very loose-passive game with villain very likely to be LAP also.  BB is 42/5 incidentally.

Min c/r always have it here right?  Or can we include some medium/small PPs here?  Certainly no outright bluffs though?  Of course he has no concept of playing a short stack unless he is trapping with a monster.

Pre is fine but can go bigger if you like, you'll likely be better off being unbalanced with your opening sizes at this buyin level.

I just fold cos i'm a fish. I mean you see tons of weird stuff at small stakes so calling is probably not the worst thing in the world but there's also spots like this where he's gone "sup bro, i totes have a king thought i'd let you know".

Call it off. Be prepared to swear a bit though because he might well have it.

Bet the flop, you are just letting an action killer hit the turn by checking.

Thank villian for turning his hand face up and fold.

Thanks for the feedback.

Longy - what cards would be considered action killers?  There was a thought process in there about trying to trap, but I think in hindsight against a passive opponent like this it is mostly bad.  I think because of the shorter chip stacks I guessed that players can go after the pot if you show weakness by checking through desperation.  Maybe that would suggest I should check turn as well then to follow that thought pattern.

One area I am working on is ensuring I don't level myself and that I get more accurate with my opponent profiling.  I think this is a good example of when I failed to do that and ended up creating this bad spot for myself.  I shoved and he had Ks5s.
