this definitely isn't allowed after winning 50 bags and a TCOOP

haha fair Wink

Anyways back on topic...

Decided to take a few days off from online recently, I'd really been putting in alot of time from the start of January - In the 72 hours from last thursday to the saturday i won the TCOOP i played 51 hours of online poker, and thats after a couple of weeks of grinding normal 6-9 hour sessions every day (probably had one day off since Jan 1st) so i figured i deserve a small break from the 'stress'. The gf was also getting slightly pissed with the lack of time i spent with her, so it also makes my life much easier if i do this.

Saying that i did play live for the first time in what felt like forever last night (at Genting Sheffield). There was a £40 GPS Star City satellite on with 2 seats GTD, so i decided as i wasn't doing too much I'd flick it in. After a bit of play we were down to a 9 handed FT where i had 1/3rd the chips in play - there was then a 30min break (well too long - should be 15 mins max imo) where i decided to sit and play some £1/£2. Was about £110 up after the 30 mins then obv had to retake my seat at the sat (in before 'lol hit and run for £110' as i told the table before i sat down i only had the 30 minutes). By the time i sat back down i totally forgot it was a satellite and started splashing about in loads of pots like the massive whale i am - ended up spewing the whole stack (we were actually pretty deep as well) and busting 6th so was pretty annoyed with myself.

Playing the satellite actually made me realize how much i have missed live poker, so i figured since it was still early (1am ish) I'd head down to the G and see if there were any decent games running (the Cash games always seem to be much softer and deeper at the G for some reason). Got down there and the table was incredible, not meaning to be rude / cause offense but there were probably two people who knew how to actually play the game, the rest were just the reg gamblers you would often see at the G, and who would gamble on pretty much everything, so obv i was in heaven. I ended making around £800 in just shy of two hours (when the game broke) so all in all it turned out a pretty good night for me.... Maybe the heat is not gone after all Wink  disco

Nice one Tom!!!

I hope this time you do not treat money like you have done when you have had decent scores in the past. You seem very sensible here, for once Cheesy Cheesy

PS - VEGAS!!!!!!

Thanks Aaron Smiley

I'm proud to be able to say that I've seemed to have 'matured' as of late, and also seemed to have gained a new respect for the value of money (probably through being skint for so long). Hopefully we'll continue to see this - although for the sake of the diary, it probably makes a better story if i go and spunk it all on the death wheel - but sorry folks, thats a no go! Wink

Back on track...

I've taken a few days off recently (since the day after the TCOOP win - would have been since the day of the win however the next day was a funday so i couldn't miss it!). Took a few trips down the the local G / Genting casinos and have amassed a profit of £700 over the 3 trips, so not too shabby! Also managed to book my 1st ever holiday with the gf to Cyprus in late July - not that i planned to, it just saved the constant nagging! The hotel we're staying in is situated on Nissi Beach (Amazing place) and is very close to Ayia Napa (where i went with 7 of my mates on a lads holiday for 2 weeks last year) - so i know the area well-ish Smiley. (Will post a few pics of the place later).

Just started regging for the night - have decided it's not going to be a long one - i just plan to ease myself back into it and hopefully be regging full sessions again by weds / thurs. Planning on playing the TCOOP main later today - a $700 buy in which is pretty damn expensive for a turbo, but the field shouldn't be very tough at all, especially with the amount of sats they are running into the main.

Will update as the session goes on Smiley

Mmmm bit of an annoying night, ~10th in a UKIPT Cork Package sat with 6 paid (4 packages) - managed to get into the 160euro qualifier for 33e though so it's not all bad (although i was own diming). Bust the $700 TCOOP Main with A9 < A2o as well for ~av chips with 1500/5000 left (600 paid) so that was also a bit frustrating but oh well, there's always tomorrow (or tonights big 109 / 22cubed Smiley ).

Currently left with 2 tables of the 8 or so MTTs i regged today:
38/201 - (ITM) Big $109
178/270 - 22Cubed

Will give further updates if i go deepish in either of the two above, if not - Gnite Balonde!
