I have been given one last hurrah and honour in my fading rugby career. I've played rugby for over 30 of my 40 years on this planet and as the number of games i play a season decreases (2 so far), I've been invited to play in the curtain raiser for the Ireland vs England Legends match at Donnybrook Stadium, former home of Munster rugby. This is to raise money for injured rugby players in memory of Stuart Mangan, a HFRFC player whose severe spinal injury whilst playing eventually led to his passing. All the details are here-  http://www.justgiving.com/Carl-Jones9.
Tx,
Mohican
p.s. all monies donated go to the charity as I'm naturally covering my costs for the weekend.

Done, good luck. I lost a good friend when we were seventeen with a scrum collapsing such a sad loss.

Tx for your interest Lee. If you can't manage before I go away, any donation to the charity at a later date would also be good and v. generous of you. I'll look the vids up esp as my 6 yr old has just started playing.
Kinboshi,tx for the link and the donation. Much appreciated

Just a quick update. I've now, with the help of blondes, reached my sponsorship target. Which is great news for the charity and also myself as I now won't end up in tour court for failing to reach my target(improper tour conduct whilst drunk and a propensity to fall asleep on the beer normally  sees to that).
Just a quick thank you to those who supported this, the generosity of forums never ceases to amaze me.
tx,
Mohican.

I also forgot to mention that the whole team had a target of raising £25,000. as it stands, we are at 81% of that at just over £20,000.

Once again I've been given the honour of doing this. My club is hoping to get past the 100k raised for these charities this year.
I'd like to thank those that donated last time and hopefully  I can thank a few more of you this time.
All the details can be found here- https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Carl-Jones28
tx and regards,
Mohican.
