There are 5 more Shows in the current series. We are currently negotiating for a further Series, that is the top job on my desk right now. It has hit exactly the spot, & wider (non-poker) audience, we were aiming for. The proposed next series will be a different format.
Hartigan & Stapes absolutely nailed the Commentary, in that they did EXACTLY what we wanted, & asked them to do. We wanted the banter to be the main thing, but there was so much, it was difficult to know how James & Joe would squeeze any commentary in. But they nailed it, just little, sharp one-liners, as unobstrusive as possible, but still good stuff.
For the record, it is decidely NOT aimed at the poker market, that was not the Business Model. The poker world is miniscule compared to Football, Darts, Rugby, Horse Racing, & the Series is designed to give us exposure to those viewers, who may not play poker, or who are lapsed. There is a whole lot of Social-Media & SEO stuff behind the Shows, those are the real key of its success, & we are delighted with what those elements achieved, our SEO hits & Acquisition have gone through the roof.
We have James Haskell & Mick Fitzgerald in Episodes 3 & 4, so I'm hoping Mr Haskell does well this weekend.
Episodes 5 & 6 include Matt le Tissier & Jimmy White.

Needs more pros
needs personalities.
you don't get better personalities for TV poker than Sam Razavi, Neil, Rastafish do you?
Thought the line up was good, myself
I hope sky didn't pay for the commentators. Poor chaps didn't get a word in
they weren't meant to I don't think...otherwise you wouldn't have heard the table chatter
I enjoyed it, was digging at Tikay lol
Fun fun fun, Razavi is pretty hilarious to play with, seems to be getting cheerier since winning a billion honk kong $ as well.

That's the way forward imo. When I watch some poker I want to see a bit of banter, some loose spewy play, some all ins, some suck outs, etc. Essentially I'm after a bit of entertainment. Watching some 20 year olds in sunglasses staring at each other slowly 5 betting each other or whatever is dull. It has its place of course, but it's not for the masses.
Not seen this show. Is it online?

I thought it was good, plenty of laughs and interesting hands. I think I would rather get fondled by Edward Scissorhands than get a ten hour stretch next to Rastafish at DTD tho there is no doubt he is entertaining

Great mix of players/personalities imo, the first UK Cash Game series was clearly more appealing to the seasoned poker community...and it's interesting watching 3-4 extroverts battling to get a word in edgeways! I like Channing in particular, always seems to have a good attitude... can't remember seeing him even mildy tilted before?! The benefits of a productive poker career I suppose!
