Guy plays a decent amount of midstakes o8 and I've seen him in some HE comps as well. Not done much to mark himself as particularly good or bad. Turn action was a little surprising, doesn't make sense to be behind imo, maybe some A8xx hands but cant see why he would bet this size when he has chosen to not raise the flop.

Otr it feels like I'm winning virtually 100% and he has a draw everytime/possibly rivered trip as well. Bet/Check? Bet size? Induceaments?

Aside, this guy absolutely hates me, regularly chatbox abuses/has accused me of colluding. Fwiw don't think I;ve ever replied back, just been told by other regs.

I understand why no one has responded to this post as its a pretty complex spot (imo) in a niche game but hoping this gets it more views.

i'll give it a stab - bet the turn. too high a risk of him checking back a low draw and our hand isn't even that nutted to get heaps of value or anything.

I think checking the turn is a major mistake and the check raise isn't big enough. More I look at it I think if your going for the c/r line then you should just jam and make him make a mistake with a2 with a FD or something like 8245. I don't think we ever induce bluffs from a competent reg by making it 1000 and there aren't actually that many nice rivers for us.

This is a really tough river spot. I think bet something like 480 to induce or check to induce is the best line.

Agree with c/r size, I wasn't expecting him to bet the turn that big at all. I wouldn't normally c/r the turn, but I figured he'd never expect me to check an 8 so might be tempted to bet with w/e he actually has and then I can get a lot of chips in. This size is pretty weak and might even make the play bad but... He definitely had a hand you wouldn't really expect @ showdown fwiw I'd be very surprised to see him have an 8 when he doesnt raise this flop so maybe c/shove isn't as applicable as you thought but maybe I'm wrong and he does have an 8 sometimes.

Its not that he might or might not have an 8. If we C/R we are only getting called by hands that have equity against us and there are so many dirty rivers. We aren't C/R folding and he isn't going to bluff jam the turn, so by jamming we are forcing all his drawing hands to make a mistake against us.
