Second, twice in 24 hours.  Got to hurt - but definitely some sort of freak to reach all these final tables/heads up battles.

One of our best wells IMO.

Any heard how Simon is doing these days?

I bumped into both Simon & Shola whilst in Vegas, & I gather they now live there.

Simon is as gracious, polite & good-mannered as ever. He was playing a big ($5,000) WSOP Event when I happened to spot him at the table, so I initially kept my distance, but he saw me, & then got up & came across & we chatted for a while. He told me the WSOP was not going great, results wise, but, typically, he omitted to even mention this;

Wonderfully modest & self-effacing.

What a perfect couple he & Shola make, too, she is just such a lovely girl.

They are living the dream out there. Hard to think of a nicer bloke in high level poker, (maybe a dead heat with Posh Alex?), but neither of them have an ounce of misplaced arrogance.

I'll see if I can find the photo I took.

Nice to know that he's doing OK and that Shola and he are still together.

I was surprised to learn that he's living in Vegas now. (come to think of it you might have reported it in your diary and I've missed it while skimming through)

Did he marry Shola for you know? It seems likely, I think she is a US citizen.

Eh?

You "skim" through my Diary?

No excuse for that, none at all. I'm insulted, grievously so.

I honestly can't remember if they got married. I have to say, I did wonder how they had managed to move to Vegas, what with Green Cards & all that malarky, but I had not realised that Shola was a US citizen. Posh Alex got married, if it helps. Just in case, you know, you "skimmed" through his Diary.
