Does it have to make a difference to your life? Surely just a gloat in the face of the odds should be good enough.

I once walked into a McDonalds, ordered my meal (a large bigmac meal and 20 nuggets) and got given a McFlurry for free! I fistpump banged the table immediately

As many times as I've been hideously unlucky in this game, I've had one or two that seem to balance out my equity in some bizarre fashions. The following is one of my favourites.

I was on tilt at Gala one night, before I learned to quit. I was stuck about £400 and I had everything I brought to the game on the table so I decided I was going broke or getting out of it. Playing about £250 in a 50/1 game, some guy that had beat me in a big pot earlier on in the night opened so I spite 3balled the on the button. Villain called and we were heads up. The flop comes . He checks, I bet what must have roughly been £20~ into £30~ and he just jams. Like £240. I spluttered for a second, gave him the "not sure if serious" face, and started to seriously consider a call. This would almost get me out of it, and there's a flush draw there. Yeah, he must have a flush draw, I'm going to be a hero.

I CAWL

"How many times do you want to run it?" he asks

... Well what do you have?

He rolls over

Top set.

"Just once. I can't ever win the whole pot if we run it twice."

I actually do that bit where you put your coat on, put your phone in your pocket and stay for the turn and river, you know, just in case

ACE on the turn

...

ACE ON THE RIVERRRR

The best part was I was so dumbstruck by the hideous bad beat I just inflicted that I couldn't really move to turn my cards over and all I could say was "that's so sick," so the poor kid got slowrolled as well.

in the DTD 300 last week with 24 left I was about 4th in chips, then lost a big pot AQ vs 78o on A56, very next hand i r/c AK from the btn into the big blinds ACES - wtf is that lol, now I have 4 big blinds...

Very next hand i ship A7hh, get called by AK, flop comes 7xx hh 7 A lol tyvm.

Next hand I 3bet KK, guy ships A2s i call/hold (back to roughly where i was before Aq hand now) I fold the next hand and get moved tables to UTG

I find AKcc, open, get 3bet, shove, get called, he has KK i spike an ACE

Nexthand im in the BB, fold to skalie who ships Q5s i find AKo and call, board runs out x5xQx but i make a 4flush now I have 3x average and am the chips leader.

7 hands.

At GUKPT Coventry ME a couple of years ago I make day2 with just 33k with the average being 41k or there abouts and I've got the table chippy, if not tournament, to my direct left.
Within the first orbit the chip leader raises 2.5x UTG to my BB. Folds round to me and I shove 77. He obv snaps with KK and the board runs out all spades with me holding the 7 and a nice little double up. I went on to buble the final table.

At last weeks GPS I'd just reloaded and so I'm sat with 25k I'm UTG and I make it 1400 to play it folds round to the button who shoves for 14k total. I dwell for about 5 seconds and call he flips AA with a big smile when he see what I'm holding. Flop runs out KxK. I thought he was going to throw up as he left the table.

Not life changing but satisfying when it happens.

Could tell you about all the big ones I've lost, but not really some any big suckouts yet. Just taking the #largeequitybeats on the chin.

I think I got it all-in pre-flop with KK v AA about seven times in a row (over a period of 6 months+) playing cash at DTD and won every time.  It got to the stage where I would say "unlucky" to the other player if he 'fast-rolled' me with his aces.

One of the players I did it to had been playing in the Virgin comp at DTD, and he was the first player out of the that when his AA was busted by KK.  He came and sat on the .50/1 table and was fairly cheerful and phlegmatic about the manner of his exit from the tournament.  He sat to my immediate right, and on his second hand it was folded to his SB and he raised, and I looked down at .  A few re-raises later and both of our stacks are in the middle and I ask "Aces?" and he nods.  I nod back and flip my cards over and he shows .

Flop: three diamonds

I bought him a drink.
