Another night another third!
Went to DTD last night to play the Super 50 and some cash. Luckily i ran deep in the super 50 so manage to stay away from the cash tables! Wierd comp for me in that i had very little premium hands. I seem to do better when this happens i think its due to the lack of times you end up getting it all in pre. Anyway was a pretty standard comp for me up until about 3 tables out. Although on my starting table i had "Mr incredible hundred" Ian. I pulled the gascoigne check raise out of the bag! i had a hand where he raised late position and i called out of the blinds with KJ board comes J108 i check he bets i raise he calls. turn Q i check he raises i jam and he passes. I later laughed with him about hearing that it was his move so thought i would try it against him! On the last two tables i ran pretty well i was short with about 18 left and managed to go into the final table second in chips. Most of my chips were won through winning races which was nice but had another 50K when two shorties got it all in and my 77>AA&99. that was nice! When i got to the final table i think i played the best i have at a final table think i knocked out 4 players out of the 9. I was chip leader for a long time and when it got 3 ways the lead kept chopping and changing. We were pretty short but i had one guy all in dominated 3 times. AQ<A3 A10=A4 and AK<A5 was pretty sick. Once we chopped and 2 i lost. I then won a flip and then lost a flip to end up busting 3rd pretty frustrating as really felt like i was going to win it and £3k would have been a lot nicer than £1k! of course. But feeling good going into the Grand Prix on Monday. Have allocated myself 3 bullets for it so hopefully will get through to sunday with a good stack it will be the first grand prix i have played as i have always been unavailable on the week it was on. Really hoping to play grand prix, monte carlo and ISPT over the next few months. OI think one big bonus of not doing this as a living i can take shots at things and play out of my bankroll as long as i assign budgets for sat's etc.
Going home today for mothers day thinking of going Manchester 235 tonight as well love the games there and Christmas i had a field day there so should be good!

Just discovered your blog, was trying to find a vegas tips thread of best restaurants and bars n stuff as am going on a stag do of all non poker players who have mostly never been to vegas and I'm not sure what to recommend in terms of buffets, stag do type bars (ie anything in between Cut, a table at XS and a night in Saphs) but tho didn't get many tips of that kind here, loved your Vegas stories n pics, can't wait to get there again now. The lads also wanna play a day of cheap poker, 25 to 50 bucks, did y see any of them about that wouldn't be so quick they'd feel robbed (but not so deep they sit there all day trying to get knocked out).
Btw think u played the PLO hand with the low str8 fine, can fold turn, defo fold river, u obv mashed the aces hand but it happens and better to be lucky etc etc. Excellent result getting outa town in profit on the whole trip!!

Ahhh.. bumping my own thread!
Just re-read this as in a bit of a lull in life! Pokers going crap, didnt go Vegas in June and just had literally the best week of my life outside of poker last week! Have no desire to grind my roll back up apart from for Vegas June 2014 and that seems miles away
so this thread will keep me going. Re-reading kind words has given me a poker boost - Thanks Blonde.
Im planning my next trip June 2014 and hoping to do a month during the world series and after i finish Uni. Will need to find some money from somewhere maybe a lottery win im not sure. Reading about people in Vegas over the last month has made me unbelievable jealous.
Ahhh take me back.

Ahhhh... Really craving Vegas this year so just re-read this thread to give me a kick up the backside to grind my arse off and get to the WSOP this year. im probably about 70/30 in favour of not going at the minute. Only reason is finances, its a tricky one as i could get the money to go no problem (loan) but i want it to be earned and my own money. Although a blow out after university for a few weeks would be immense then even if i blow the lot i will be back to work afterwords to repair the damage but remember the memories! ive got about 25% of the funds that i would need to go currently. If i get a first in my degree my parents said they would pay for my flight so that probably gets me to 40% of the funds and 55/45 in favour of going! I figure winning GPS sheff of UKPC would help me get there so that is the plan!

I got a loan to go, glad I did it, things might change in the future, if you really wanna go, do it.

As did I for my travelling. Had the best time of my life, and I paid it off in no time (results orientated). If its something you really want to do, make sure you do it and do it properly. I had the best time of my life and wouldn't change it for anything.
I know I've let it slip a bit here with the trolling.
P.S. Fuck you.
