Di Canio first resigned last Tuesday and missed training on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week.

Obviously you wouldn't want him to go but equally obviously its not going to be easy to be his board of directors!

Anyone seen them this season? How much did they play above their ability for PdC?

you can get 11/4 Tranmere to beat them tomorrow...

The administrator sold him, Swindon are bust.

DiCanio was reported to have offered £30k of his own money to resign 2 loan players, then they shit on him selling Ritchie.

Swindon owned by Andrew Black who founded Betfair.

He's worth about a zillion, I know he wants to get out but surely selling the best player makes the club a less valuable asset by more than you recoup for him?

i am told di canio actually offered up a bit more than the 30k that was mooted to sanction some loan moves (as well as potentially agreeing to having his pay deferred until the end of the season pending promotion)

i would suspect having one of his better players ritchie sold from underneath him was the final straw

11-4 tranmere would be tempting if tranmere were not so very poor at present

Not willing to put any more money in according to this, so they have to sell.

whoever was in charge of the signings, di canio or someone else or a bit of both presumably should be pretty accountable. Had a very big squad last season and most of this

Wasn't a big fan of the fascist salutes when he was at Lazio.

But got to love his passion for the game.

Di Canio backed for Robins return

Italian favourite for Swindon job after being added to betting on request

19th February, 2013

Paolo Di Canio has emerged as Sky Bet’s 15/8 favourite to be the next Swindon manager despite only vacating the position on Monday evening.

The Italian boss handed in his notice due to off-field problems with the club’s sale failing to be confirmed, but is being backed to return to the County Ground with a takeover still in the pipeline.

Di Canio’s former assistant Fabrizio Piccareta has been placed in temporary charge but is 12/1 to take the post on a permanent basis, while Mike Newell, Dave Hockaday and Steven Pressley are all 5/1 having attracted some backing.

Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: “We initially went out without Di Canio our list of candidates, with Mike Newell and Dave Hockaday leading the betting, but were seeing little interest in the market.

“However, we then added Di Canio at 5/1 by request this afternoon and the Italian has attracted almost all of the interest ever since, prompting us to cut his price to 15/8.”

My heads spinning. Why quit to reapply for same post?
