The organisers at Doral are obviously from the school of getting right back on the bike after a fall as despite Rory's delicate psychological state they are sending him out with Tiger and Luke in the marquee group.

I've had a couple of bets in the 3 balls might have some more later.  Charl S at 2.4 with coral and Tim Clark at 3.2 with shybet.  Debating about backing Charl for the tournament - anyone ever bet with Youwin?  They are top price on most of the favoured players, seems a little too good to be true.

My advice is to have nothing to do with youwin Dave.

They will only lay pennies and are VERY slow payers. To add insult to injury my one transaction with them triggered a fraud alert on my debit card.

TY Ralph, will steer clear.  Have gone for Watney at 40, his record at the course is excellent even though his form is a bit off but not horrific.  Also added Jacobsen at 2.4 on BF, and Moore at 2.63 from VC for the 3 balls.

Hoping to get down to Doral for at least one day this week.  Mickelson only bet so far but I will no doubt add to it during the weekend.

The golf fans big hope is for Brian Gay and Dicky Pride to play in a two ball somewhere. Grown men will be ringing up their bookmakers and asking for a price on the Gay Pride two ball and then sniggering almost as much as when they ring up and ask for the prices when there is a snooker match between Marcu Fu and Mark King.

One of my late dad's greatest golfing conquests was that he once played "The Blue Monster".

The details were fairly vaigue as to the scoring however.

My Foolish Five are.......

Kuchar @ 20/1

Bubba @ 33/1

Watney @33/1

Ryan Moore @ 66/1

Garrigus @ 55

I only really picked one of the 5 myself, so whatever one does best, that was my pick. Honest.

I have Sang Moon Bae and Scott Langley in the Puerto Rico, and Oosterhuizen and Keegan Bradley in the proper tournament. These are throw a dart type bets though so I have something to root for.

My final bet is Senden for top ANZ player - he has an excellent scoring record at Doral (albeit small sample)

Guess which pick was mine?......

http://www.worldgolfchampionships.com/cadillac-championship/leaderboard.html

Realistically, only Bubba & Watney are still in with a real cance, Bubba is joint leader, Watney three behind, but the top of the board is very congested.

The weather was totally calm yesterday, but if the wind gets up, anything could happen.

Anyway, kiss goodbye to my Garrigus, Moore & Kuchar bets, Watney has a chance still, & Bubba is joint leader, so not so bad really.

There is no cut in this one, so if my remaining picks can stay competitive, I have a weekend sweat.

Nice start there Methuselah Minor, -4, -5, & -2 respectively.

Pretty neat picking three all of whom are sub-par.

Poults especially impressed after a nightmare start.

Anyone who backed Rory had a painful day.
