give him his money back, not even close imo.

Basically...

DO whatever you think he would do if roles had been reversed

I like to assume everyone would do the right thing, a slightly naive way to view the world ofc but nice to think. If I have even the slightest notion the guy might ba a prick though and he's not getting a penny.

Nooooo, really?

I find it hard to believe this guy actually had the  in his hand. And if he did, what is he doing calling off a oner pre, if the money means something to him?

I like this line, feels like that's the right way to go.

Something about this doesn't add up though.

Guy living off benefits gets it in pre with a 5 in his hand. Vs a friend? Dealer goes through muck to find his hand?

FYQ (fixed your quote Tongue )

Nothing to do with what the money means to him, if he was worth £25m i'd still give it back. I don't really have too much sympathy for "what the money means to people" in general because at the end of the day they are sat there gambling with it.

It's pretty obvious he has 55 btw, if his hand did contain the , not that it's relevant - never got why people feel mugged off when people call them off really light in a cash game, usually people just wanna gamble...

Do unto others...

I'd give it back to him a week or so later.

Make him learn his lesson first because playing the way he did is going to prove very costly in the future if he doesn't stop it.

Haha, an half an hour with your missus as well I hope.

(just his half ofc you could have kept the whole thing if you wanted so for him to profit seems a touch unnecessary!)

It's not often I disagree with Lil Dave but I don't think this is right. If the guy wants to spin his mate with 55 that's fine, however he has to face the consequences. The whole hand is a tale of woe and and the flush should never even be known.

The player who mentioned the club in an untabled hand is totally out of order and so is the dealer. These are important points.More importantly how can you ever play a decent pot with the friend in the future if you fanny about now giving him a bung in the car park which this amounts to?

There is also a good chance the friend will take offence if you offer him something, I know I would feel like a right bell end. Bad enough tilting off a oner without having one of the regs seeing me as a charity case.

+1 to "do unto others...": I wouldn't expect, nor would I accept if offered, any of the pot in that situation, so no give nothing back. @Lildave, there's being nice, and then there's being a mug.
