Just after your thoughts....

I had been sat at this table for about 3 hours bought in for 100 and had found a few spots early on and quickly stacked up to about £350

The table was full with a chinese guy who was calling every bet and showing nothing, must of been in for about 500 when I get dealt  on the button...

It folds round to me and I make it £6... this had been the standard raise at the table and I was in position on 2 players to my left that I felt I could make a move against and get it through.

sb folds and bb (chinese guy) flats the 6£

flops    three clubs  (Pot £13)

China checks I bet out £26

again China man flats the £26

turn    (Pot £65)

China man Checks again.. ( at this point I have put him on either a flush draw or maybe any decent J )

I bet out £66

China man tanks for ages and chucks in the £66 ( again with him going to the tank bank making me think again that he is either flushing or up and down maybe QK and flushing )

River  two hearts (Pot £197)

China Checks the river ( Now im sure im good... he has missed all his possible draws )

I bet out £75

China man Jams for £156

What does he have... whats his range and what would you do?

I probably don't bet the river, don't think you get called by much worse.  Its possible that he has a better 2p /  .

As played gotta call now and hope he's doing something funky with Jx / missed draw.

I think in these types of live games (if they are the same as when i used to play them) then we MUST bet the river.

Not bet the river? What game are you playing sir? We have 2purrrs!

Why are we making it 6 otb? 3/4 is fine. Why are we double potting the flop and potting the turn? Turn might not be so bad but flop gota be a mistake.

Flick it 100 chip on the river if you both have one.

Meh now.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

you guys on drugs?!

definitely betting river, and probably going all in as he will have Jx and call or draws and fold, as played if we bet this small, we have to call the jam, obviously Smiley

Why are we double potting the flop and potting the turn? Turn might not be so bad but flop gota be a mistake.

I actually LOVE the 2x pot flop bet. And this is precisely the sort of board to take this kind of exploitative line on vs this type of opponent (who we'd assume is not price sensitive). His calling range on this flop is likely extremely inelastic - i.e. there are a ton of draws/one pair hands and he is probably never folding any of them, regardless of price. So try to get him to put a lot of money in the pot.

Turn sizing also fine, for the same reasons.

River... just jam and hope he has something. As played call now, but expect to lose way more than half the time.

Sorry for the delay in posting the result to this hand...

Turns out Crazy China man turns over J J... I felt i had to call just because of how spewy he had been previous and in my head I had him on AJ where he might make the same move after putting me on the missed flush or straight.

It was a bit of a sickening hand cause I would normally of pass the 10 3 but cause it had folded round to me on the button and I had a fairly tight image on the table I thought I could make a move against him. Not the brightest idea ive ever had trying to out play the fish on the table who is likely to call me down with anything, but when I flopped 2 pair I was hoping he had KJ QJ AJ

To answer the question as to why I made it 6 otb was to isolate either the sb or the china man... if I made it 3 or 4 then the way the table had been playing they both would of come along for the ride and all the more draws and hands to beat.

My line may have been wrong and I am always open to both positive and negative advice but I just dont see how or why he wouldnt of re raised on the flop and turn with the board being as "drawy" as it was.

Anyway to make matter worse I top up for another £200 after this hand and sit tight for 20mins or so and get dealt  ... I cant remember exactly how the hand went but I 3bet the china man he 4bet and I 5bet shoved (thinking I was about to get my own back on him and hoping he turned over KK or QQ) he snaps and turns over  I turn over my hand to show him I have the other 2. At this point the table laughs and a big boned guy sat next to the dealer says just chop it up... I go to take my chips back as the dealer deals out the flop...

3 x spades

Turn a heart

River SPADE!!!!

China man Fist Pumps and I quietly get up and leave without saying a word!! lol
