Really Sigh Day in the end, busted in 40 somethingth in second level of day with 20 paid. Hopefully the fact that I feel I played my absolute best will be of at least slight consolation that you made a decent investment.
Got put on a great starting table. Looking around the room the field looked mixed but my table had maybe 1 or 2 regs and the rest abs loved the game.
Starting stack was 12k. End of level one (25/50):
Fish open 125, I 3bet SB Ah
to 425, old guy in BB cold calls, fish calls.
Flop As
, I bet 600, BB calls, other guy folds.
Turn
, I bet 1200, BB raises 3600, I call.
River
, I check, BB all in 7k, I fold.
Was pretty certain of this at the time, he def wasnt bluffing, but could maybe have had 99 or 44 for value. Was like 90% sure he had a flush, although he didn't show he told me when he busted that he had
.
So down to like 6800 at first break.
Won a flip to knock out even shorter stacked Albert Sapiano, and chipped up steadily really throughout the day from then on. Got up to like 35k at 300/600 without really winning any big pots at all. Then it started to go a bit wrong. Guy shoves 9k at 400/800 A5o, we calll AT and it runs out KT3KA for the chop
.
Got moved to a tougher table with Rhys Jones, Ben Vinson, Liv Busquets, but was still chipping up fine picking spots etc. Then at 500/1000, Rhys jams 14k from CO with A4s, we call AK from the bb and he hits a few fours.
Down to 25k, rejam our 25bb stack over a raise and a flat with AKo, called by AK and chop.
Ben Vinson loses big pot and has 5k left at 600/1200/200, folded to us on BTN we raise to 2400 with K4o, he jams 64o and the board runs out a chundertastic K6356.
Table breaks and we soon find AcJc in the CO folded round with 15bb, standard all in, BTN re-jams, short stack sb calls, bb calls!
Btn: 77
SB: J9o
BB: KK
so although we aren't in a great spot, if we can find an ace or some clubs were gonna be back in good shape with like 60k.
Sadly the 998T6 run out does not oblige and the 77 scoops
gg. Thanks for investing
