u need to take into account the fact u limped from first posistion then reraised a raiser indicates u have a very strong hand,
and for him to come back over the top of u, i wouldnt be surprised if its aces or kings, plus a call depends if its gonna cost u ur tourney if it is then its a no brainer fold, i never ever call an all in with a drawing hand and ive even folded q q preflop to an all in
that is right but im not sure alot of people actually realise this.
Anyway this is what happened and i got very very lucky, but the way things have been going im due some luck.
its only the 2nd hand of the 10k on crypto. ive played the 1st hand and took it down without showing my cards. anyway i get AK utg and flat call for 20(blinds 10/20) there are a few other limpers in the pot and the BB makes it 180 total so i reraise to 500. He goes over the top of me all in.
i think about folding for the above reason that mystery said but then i decide to call. i have 2 reasons for calling. 1 is there are alot of people willing to gamble early on in this comp and might not think about me limping then raising and could have a smaller ace. 2, i played the hand this way for a reason so if i was going to put it down i shouldnt play it like this.
i was up against aces and caught a King on the flop and another on the river
.
a bit fishy i know but thats why i wanted peoples opinions about limping UTG with it

ur free to play the way u want m8, im just saying for me i dont want my game based on luck with all in coinflips, i want the others guys money in there when he is massive undergog, ive no problem wotsoever folding a k and q q preflop none wotsoever, im not an all in player i like to see flops and outplay my opponants, posistion is so powerful if u know how to use it properly, the amount of times i see people raise with a k in a cash game they get called and the board comes like A J 9 or something like that, and they lead out and bet and they get reraised all in and they call? are they stupid call here with a k? why

NO any decent player would not play qq jj definatly not 10 10 or a q this way, u need to look at all the info, uve limped utg then uve reraised a raiser which is indicating a very strong hand, so for him to say i dont care how strong your hand is mine is stronger indicates A A at least K K everytime for me, and i wouldnt even think twice about folding, maybe i analyze to much, but my tourney wins speak for themselves, my biggest fold was folding A A preflop but thats another story

u cant put an action on a single hand, u cant say this is wot im gonna do with a k under the gun everytime, it depends on whos at the table, where u are in the tourney how many chips u got, wots the blinds, all this is just as important as the a k in your hand, on average if i get a k utg depending on how things are im probably out of 10 times, gonna limp twice raise maybe 2 or 3 times fold the rest

Who said he was a decent player? What is a decent player? Could a decent player not make the same move with 78 expecting you to put him on AA?

Forgive me if I have read this wrong but you are saying if you were dealt AK UTG then you would fold 50% of the time?? You having a laugh?

it sounds worse than it is, im not saying i fold ak utg 50% of the time as a definate figure, as i said it depends on the suituation of the tourney and whether i need to be playing utg, out of posistion with a drawing hand

a k utg if ur raising u gotta go at least 3 times the bb, 9 players still to act u get raised wot u gonna do? u gotta take his raise seriously uve raised utg signalling strength, u gotta fold it, lets say u get one caller from the button u miss the flop, ur out of posistion, do u follow through with a continuation bet? wot u gonna do if ur raised uve now lost ur 3 times raise and a continuation bet, say u check, quarentees are the button will bet, u have nothing, uve signalled strength with ur preflop raise uve been called, so hes got something u gotta fold, why give urself this much hassle playing utg with a drawing hand if u dont need to, for me a k is an easy fold utg, uve now lost chips u never had to lose PLAYING A DRAWING HAND utg
