I think it's better to make him wear something that isn't obviously for a prop. Like get him some ridiculous chavvy Nike cap with the peak bent as if its been sat bent in a cup over night. Gives off the 'I'm a ****' vibe without it being obvious

Bit lame to stick a Mackem hat on him imo, the more comedy and ridiculous looking the better surely. Nobody would even do a double take on a lad in a baseball cap, compared to having a top hat on or something!
