Playing the EPT in Copenhagen yesterday and who should I find on my table at the start but Stig Tofting. Who he? Step forward the former Bolton Wanderers and Denmark football star notorious for living life on the edge both on and off the pitch - so much so that he was once jailed for beating up some poor bloke in a restaurant.

So should I raise his big blind in the opening exchanges and risk a vicious right hook? As it turned out he was getting so much media attention that he was on his best behaviour - and everyone started eating into his stack. He still lasted about five hours though, so fair play to him.

There's something of a theme going with ex footie stars and the EPT. Tony Cascarino played in Dublin, while also in Copenhagen yesterday was Jan Molby. Thomas Brolin, the dumpy Swede, plays today.

Incidentally, it snowed overnight and we are now in a winter wonderland.

Unfortunately I am the only fella in Denmark without a coat  Sad

Their Golden Years are behind them, of course. But even in poker, they could still be Heroes... just for one day...

Google not required, for Bowie anyway.

He is quite superb in both Sound and Vision; he deserves his Fame.
