Hey,

I am trying to find the best way to set a grinding station.

So far I have 2 monitors.

Samsung SyncMaster 2443 24” monitor
Samsung SyncMaster 2443 24” monitor

I now want to buy a computer that I will use solely for Poker, which needs to be powerful enough for running 5 clients simultaneously, as well as holdem manager + youtube/spotify w/ev.

It needs to be able to contain at least 3 monitors, as I have another 3 monitors that I could potentially use to aid this set up.

Thoughts/suggestions/links? Smiley

yeh, confirmed I need an SSD.

SO basically, a PC software/set up, that has an SSD, good configs and allows for 3+ monitors.

No need for what you want. Unless, that is, if you want it.

Let me explain why.

SSD's are faster than conventional hard disks but nothing you are doing really warrants the extra oomph. The only real advantage to you would be quicker boot up times if you needed to retart after a problem.

IMO just make sure its got plenty of RAM, decent i3 or i5 processor, running Windows 7 or 8 64bit and obviously multiple graphics cards or a graphics card that can handle upto 4 monitors.

Simple really.

Definitely get an SSD. It made a huge difference to my set up back when I was grinding regularly.

More importantly, get a 30 inch monitor and have all tables on one screen. Just use the second 24 inch monitor for having HEM and other stuff open on. I personally have my 30 inch monitor right in front of me and my 24 inch monitor off to the side, turned round so it is in portrait, and angled about 40 degrees towards me. I never have any poker tables open on my 24 inch, they always stay on the 30 inch... helps you focus on everything so much better, and is also much better for posture etc since you are not having to side to side between two monitors all the time.

SSD is a must.

Your HEM will be reading/writing to disk continuously, updating your HUD. SSD will help stop it from hanging.
