My Mrs won a seat for the GPS on her first attempt, a £5 into a £55 seat and then the £55 into a £440 seat - lucky thing, while I have tried on 3 occasions and am not even getting close to a final table!! lol

my question is - can she transfer the seat into my name to play Sheffield??? any idea blondies???

Im pretty sure the answer to this would  be No

If the answer is yes it would obv be open to abuse , with people potentially multi accounting for seats playing  on " their partners " accounts  etc

Unless it's changed since the last one in October, the answer is yes. I bought a seat won by satellite at a reduced rate, and Genting facilitated the transfer (but the money was exchanged privately).

That means "Mr and Mrs Smith" can both enter the same tourney and Mr Smith can play the event from whichever account wins a seat ?    kind of  stinks

Not doubting what youre saying happened Barry   .  I maybe wrong but pretty sure this is not common practice.

I think in a satellite where the prizes are usually flat and  between 1-in-5 and 1-in-10 win, the prizes are not worth cheating for compared to a normal MTT where the top prize is much bigger.

Also lots of seats were guaranteed, so playing twice would actually go against the value of the overlay.

Not of course that means its not likely people will cheat, some people collude in double or nothings after all, but its probably low risk considering the prizes on offer being not worth cheating for.

£30r at Genting Sheffield tonight with 10 seats guaranteed. I am not sure how this will generate 10 seats at the moment and confident there will be an overlay, get yourself down!

to answer the allegation of cheating, we live in the same house and only one account can play the tournament qualifiers at any one time due to the security and ip address!!!
she actually won the seat while I was in London playing the IPO.
I assume that if u can sell seats then it should be allowed. thanks for the advice dave!

No worries,

FYI it's obvious Fraser never actually accused you of cheating, he was clearly talking about the situation in the hypothetical and not your particular circumstances. Most poker rooms don't allow seat transfers, including a lot of iPoker rooms, I think Genting are the exception.

thanks dave I just want to make it clear that there is nothing underhanded going on... otherwise we would have won loads of seats - and in reality its just a single seat lol.

is there a roll call for persons who made it through the dtd GPS qualifiers who are eligible for this fantastic prize.

Hi

Bought in direct online using the DTD skin for 1b tomorrow - does this qualify as applicable for this promotion or did you have to bink a super sat seat?

Cheers and Gl to all blondes
