Not really. They're merely the registrar, and you can always move the domain(s) to another registrar down the line.  I'd always stick with one of the bigger ones though, not something I'd entrust with an unheard of.  The big ones might have an issue every few years, but they're very rare to be honest.  With 123, I have my domains on automatic renew, as having your domains expire (if they're an important domain for you) can be pretty bad.

I was having issues with 123 Reg as it woudlnt recognise my changed payment details. In the end i did it via a new account with them
