What possible reason could there be not to change to gmail asap? Can access it from basically all clients including smartphones, and the most secure free product out there. I have 3 separate gmail accounts.

It's kinda quaint when someone still has an aol account or w/e.

If someone is still using hotmail, I instinctively have a dislike for them.

It's especially annoying on a mobile device. I must admit I am considering changing my main business add to something else. The way it doesn't allow you to go back further than page 1,  a9dbcadocuhwroghusdovubw1douvh!!!!

tbh mate, if you have a business that isn't @ownbusinessname.com address you're missing a trick.

inexpensive and easy to set up and makes your business 1000x more credible...

...and you can set it up using gmail for free (for a single address on a domain you own), or for about $5 a month per user if you need multiple users on different addresses.  So, at no additional cost you can have yourname@yourdomain.co.uk and gmail will manage all the hosting and delivery of the email.

Registering your domain (if you don't already have one), will cost about £8 every two years.

This is stato.

Hotmail is a 7 letter word, where gmail is only 5.

You need a different sort of gmail account to get it set up to properly use your own domain in your email address (and it's not that easy for 'noobs' to setup as there is a bit of technical trickery involved).  There are ways of using a normal gmail account to be able to receive emails to yourname@yourdomain.co.uk, but when you send emails from your account the recipient will see it's gone via gmail.

link gives me an identity crises

Not counting work I have, and use an own domain email, 3 gmail accounts and a hotmail one.

The hotmail one is tricky to get rid of when I've been using it since the 90's; it's the default one to catch any spam in i.e. I pretty much use it all the time to register with places and sign up for things.

But outlook.com is complete nightmare so I might have to some time soon if they don't 'fix' it.

You can set up a gmail account and have all of your hotmail/outlook stuff forwarded to your gmail account so its all in one place along with the security benefits of the 2-step verification on gmail.
