No I hate it, raw tuna also or anything like that. What i need is some of my mates to organise a night out at a restaurant so I can try a bunch of stuff. I had a similar fear/skepticism of Japanese food but I love it now. The good (and expensive) restaurants actually bring you a big selection of stuff out and tell you what its all about, what drinks it goes with etc. Vegas is awesome for Japanese food.

Yo Sushi and Wagamas are both good starting points. Neither of them are 'proper' Japanese food, but a good bridge. You can get 'normal' stuff like curry and noodles there too, so you can still get something thats not 'icky'.
