Joe Beevers has just fallen at the hands of the chip leader, Juan Alban.

Alban raised preflop and Giuseppe Zarbo called. Beevers 3-bet to 2600 and both players called.

The flop was two spades and it was checked to the Hendon Mob stalwart, who bet 3600. Alban just called and Zarbo followed him to the turn, which was . It was again checked to Joe, who pushed all in for his remaining 13,500. Alban called and this was enough for Zarbo to release his hand.

Joe had two black Aces ( ) but Alban had for the flopped set, leaving Joe two outs on the river. Neither materialised on the river and we are one Hendon Mob member down, leaving the Boatman brothers to fly the flag.

We are just about to go on an hours dinner break. 250 of 330 are left, blinds go 400-800 next with average 65,000

Juan Alban is still the chip leader with 350,000

The players in "Flutes" Restaurant are being treated to a menu prepared by 12 chefs

Sounds promising

I might pop down to Tesco Express by the Arena

Sounds a bit less promising

Leigh "chipaccrual" Wiltshire is up to approximately 130k after 2 hands in succession.

The first hand he opened to 1600 and got 3 callers in Jamie Burland, Barrie Price and an unknown Mateyboy (we are waiting for the updated player list). The flop came down three clubs and it was checked to Price, who bet 4600. Mateyboy accidentally folded A-K face up and it went back to Leigh, who raised to 16.5k. This was enough for everyone else to fold.

A couple of hands later, Leigh and another unknown Mateyboy were heads up on a board. Mateyboy check called 2600 on the flop and then check called 6200 on the turn. 12.5k on the river from Leigh was enough to get Mateyboy to pass.
