Not 100% sure this is true without checking but I think Detroit have gone 7-9 on the season but were leading in the 4th quarter of every game.

Was watching Rodgers ping one in for what could be the season saving TD.

yes, winner of tonight's game wins the Div and gets to the play offs, losing team is out.

It's firing day in the NFL. 6 jobs available - which one would you take, and why?

Texans
Browns
Lions
Redskins
Buccaneers
Vikings

Lions would be best on paper wouldn't they? What's their set-up like?

I think the Bucs have the most immediate potential to improve of that group.

Lots of young talent on that roster.

I would take the easy option and go for Detroit as they have enough quality on both O and D to build from.

Slightly embarrassing that Lovie Smith seems destined to be on every teams list of interviewees, think he could do a great job with most of them but there are overtones of him being this off seasons easy Rooney rule option. I hope he gets one of the jobs tho.

This rule needs to rethought imo as teams are just treating it as something they need to work around rather than something that makes the game better.

The Browns have requested permission to interview Cardinals DC Todd Bowles for their head-coaching vacancy.
Bowles is an African American, so his interview could be a token one designed to satisfy the Rooney Rule.
