Had to try to let Denver score, and have a minute to tie it

Pretty sure Denver would have gone down at the one three times and then kicked the FG with a second left though

Terrible D in this Cowboys game.  Smiley  I have just been enjoying the chess game and great D in the Zona v Panthers game tho.

As determined and beautiful as a Jonathan Trott century is to watch, we all know we love seeing Chris Gayle spank it out the park.

 Smiley

The only spanking that should have been taking place in that Zona game was around the chops of both QB's.

Anyone think Dallas could win the whole thing with Alex Smith at QB?  stirthepot

behave. He was 49 yards off the NFL single game passing yards, and went toe to toe with the greatest QB ever on a superior team

People will rip him because he throws an interception but thats just one eyed results orientated tosh. He was great

Fabulous game.

Pretty harsh to say that the Romo pick was the decisive moment, after the performance he put on.  It's not often Manning is made to look 2nd best.

The NFC Least suddenly got interesting.  If the Cowboys can maintain that level then they should romp it, but I'm not sure they hit those heights again this season.

Weirdly enough, I don't feel the usual gloating joy at a Cowboys defeat.  It's more a sense of relief that it ended with the 'right' result from an Eagles viewpoint.  Sometimes you have to step back and admire a fantastic game and that one didn't deserve to have a loser.

Seriously?

Isn't that game just a snap shot of his career tho.

Beyond all the great passing stats he has a win % of just over 56% which is slightly more than Jay Cutler (and a few ticks more than Alex Smith)

Are any of those elite QB's?

Joe Flacco has won 67% of his games and was MVP in a Superbowl win. Is he a worse QB because he looks uncomfortable at times and doesn't throw for loads of yards every season or a better QB because he wins more games?

Big Ben has almost the same % of wins as Flacco and two Superbowl wins (and of course they play lots of games outdoors too), better or worse QB than Romo?

Of all current QB's that have played more than 100 games only 4 Qb's have a worse win %, Cutler, Carson Palmer,Mike Vick and Matt Hasselback.

I must admit when the Cowboys got the ball at 48-48, I did say "Romo throws an INT here".

I love the guy. a great player and seems like a really top bloke too.

But doubt he'll ever win a championship, he just always fucks up when the pressure is at its greatest.

the problem tonight was Monte Kiffin's defense, not Romo

Romo of course has let us down in key spots over several seasons, but his team has let him down more often than vice versa

Still a top ten QB in the league though

Two polarising views on Romo won't be resolved ever though, he's a curates egg

But wow o wow if he keeps his head straight Dez Bryant could be the greatest WR ever.

Takes the good points of Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall and rolls it into one hybrid super WR

Not a massive Romo fan but he is not the problem in Dallas. Their egomaniac of owner is the problem, as he somehow thinks he is qualified to be an NFL gm as well as owner. He can't employ a Head Coach with a big personality or ego as they will fallout/outshine Jerry. He is also infatuated with flashy skill position players instead of unfashionable lineman who their cornerstone of winning teams.

Comparing to Flacco and Big ben is really unfair imo. The Ravens and Steelers up until this year had truly elite defences that meant the pressure on the QB was much less.

That is all very true

Tw$o of the last three first round picks have been on the OL though, so it is slowly changing but undoubtedly would be a more functional organisation if he sat in his owners box, did not run the team and recruited a real top flight coach and GM

Which won't happen

Think need to start taking my colts seriously

Did think of you when they flashed the last few minutes of that game up on Sky, looking like a lock I would say Smiley

I had them for losses v seahawks and san Francisco pre season and still had them over 8wins so good news all round

Was a good call that Dean, they seem to be getting better and better.

Thank you sir.... even happier now their Offense is more balanced..... going to GIQ why I have the chance and say I have Chiefs pre season as well  Wink

Interesting, and somewhat surprising, stat:

Tony Romo has thrown for at least 400 yards five times in his career and has lost all five games.

I don't really want to go on about him but this is the bit I don't get. In a lot of games he makes mistakes that lead to his team having to play catch up. When he then throws loads of yards because they are trying to catch up he looks great.

Was just reacting to the one eyed results orientated tosh line really, he threw for 506 yards so had a great game but his team lost. Yet I am the one looking at one game?

didn't make sense really.
