Ha let's see if we get any more votes!
Also, met TK today, good to meet you sir!
Good to meet you Mr Wazz, Sir. How did you recognize me, I don't recall having met you previously, but you spotted me?
You do not look anything LIKE I imagined you would. If I had to describe you, I'd say sort of AndrewT without the chronically bad dress sense.
Good luck with grinding the PLO cash, & the package, I'll pop & see you at the Tables & try to bring you some run good vibes.
Also, if you want a running companion on one of your 7 mile runs, let me know & we'll do it. I used to be a bit of an athlete, but I was a bit crap, so I took up professional photography.

I just sort of knew who you were from seeing you at DTD and seeing photos on live tournament updates I think?
How did you imagine I would look like, and who's AndrewT irl?

I imagined you'd be shorter, slightly more portly, eyebrows closer together, & much less good looking. Not as well spoken, either, you are posher than Tal Bloke.
AndrewT? Andrew Tracey. Just a badly-dressed random, posts on here as "AndrewT". Had a Diary for 17 hours once, too.

Met trigg and nicky evans as well. Seem like nice lads! Will be joining them in the gym most mornings I expect.
I think there's something about the air or the temperature that is preventing me from being able to run properly, I suspect it's the air as I've run in hot weather and been fine. Maybe it's the aridity but I wouldn't expect it to be that dry indoors. Anyway I had to abort my run after < 3 miles, pretty disappointing. At least I got some weights in - annoying they don't have free weights but I'll live.
Have spent ~ 2 hours poolside, reading and relaxing, had a shave, off to check out $5/10 PLO @ the aria now.

Had to wait aaaaaages for the $5/10 PLO to open and there weren't any seats anywhere else until like 10 minutes before it opened. Joined a $2/5 NLHE table and my 2nd hand there I saw the following from seat 9: limp, limped/folded round. Flop T87ccc, SB bets, UTG+1 (seat 9) calls, turn 3x, SB bets, UTG+1 raises small, SB calls, river 2x, SB bets ~ 1/3rd pot and UTG+1 instacalls. Turns over A4cc i.e. the nut flush. Claims he was worried about the straight flush. Lolled to myself.
Next hand I'm on the button, folded round to me, I raise black kings to $30, he calls from straddle, HU, flop 9c8s7c, he checks, I bet $40, he calls, turn 9c8s7c
, he checks, I bet $100, he calls, river 9c8s7c9s
, he leads out for $150 and I feel fairly confident in my instafold given what I saw the hand before.
Once I finally got to $5/10, I ran superhot. Turned into mandatory $5/10/20 off the button. I don't know how well or badly I played, but it feels like I played badly as I got my money in quite bad a couple of times and hit. Anyways, a LOT of stuff happened, way too much for me to remember. I check-called Q975ddhh on Qc8c3d, turned a 9o and check-called an all-in bet, river was another Q and I just turned my hand over. Could well have been behind all the way, don't know. Called a 3b with 2467ds ip, flop 992 with my fd, guy bet half-pot, I didn't think I could get him off aces but there was some chance he was just c-betting so I set him in, he did not fold AA77 but I thought 'screw it, I'll just hit my flush anyway'.
Got sneaky sneaky with AxKhTx5h, raised behind a poster to $100 (most of my preflop raises in PLO cash games are to full pot), BB covered me and 3b full pot, I called. Flop TsTh3h, he checks and I check back. Turn was a low H, he checks, I bet ~ 2/3rd pot, he calls. River low blank, he checks and I bet big again and he calls, my hand is good.
Older guy raises and I flat IP with A764sss. Flop Jc8s5c and he check-calls. Turn
and he check-calls again. River 4o and I bet fairly big and get another call, my hand is good.
Tilting LAG opens, I flat IP with KKT9, flop K74r, he bets and I flat (with another guy behind but I wasn't flatting to trap him, to trap the original raiser). Other guy folds. Turn As, quite a good card as he's going to have improved to AK more than he's going to slow down with K7, it's a great card for him to rep, and while AK is in my range I usually have 567x hands and the like, he bets big and I set him in and he snaps with 777 and I hold.
Only hand of significance that I lost was 689Tds, raise, call a 3b, flop J73 with my fd, we get it in, his bare AAxx holds. Almost called a pot-sized 5b with 4567ds, if I could have nailed the 5bettor on AAxx I may have called but there were sidepot issues and he seemed gambly enough that he might have my sidecards dominated from time to time. Flop came 35J with my flush draw, I obv would have stacked off, hit the 7 on the turn and had the 5bettor scoop the pot with his rivered nut flush.
Overall a very swingy day but ended up winning well.
Gonna get back on the grind today and take a day off poker tomorrow before I play the first event of my package on wednesday.

bollocks to that I wanna read it

One of the things I love doing in Vegas is hitting the gym in the morning, just don't get time irl

Thanks guys!
I didn't go to the gym yesterday.... was feeling a little melancholy, but I got that fixed. A friend of mine in London wanted me to meet one of his friends, a girl. She has a boyfriend but that didn't end up mattering. I do like me a bad girl from time to time. We went to Mortons and she randomly blurted out that it was our 5th anniversary so they gave us free cheesecake. Pretty good night.

Little disappointed with myself today... gave myself food poisoning and didn't feel right all day, should have at least considered unregging the $3k PLO, but I felt well enough in the end so no harm done. Just busted though. Played pretty well, softish table, I really don't get why 'good' players play preflop so passively in PLO mtts, I find it really easy to take advantage of. They're limping too much and not 3betting pre and it ends up resembling the way loose-passive fish play preflop except they don't chase as much postflop. It means I can raise a wider range, but as opposed to cash games against fish I can actually get some folds preflop. Yes, PLO is a high-variance game and one of the skills in MTTs is mitigating variance but you can't do that if it comes at the cost of lots of missed EV.
No particularly interesting hands. Got it in pre with kings against aces twice and won both times. Won with 4689ds AIPF against aces once as well. In one hand EP raises, the only guy with a stack similar to mine calls (I have > 100bbs), I see AKQJds and spaff on my cards before 3betting the pot, one cold-caller and the other guys call as well. Flop K84r, the cold-caller jams for ~ 1/8th pot, original raiser rejams for about the same, big stack folds, I obv call and am up against 3457ds and 8TJQds, turn is a T and I brick the river. I raised KJ99ss in EP @ 150-300 to 800, two callers including one in the blinds, I have ~ 23k, he has about 19k to start the hand. Flop Q93 with a flush draw that I don't have, I bet 1900, he check-raises to 6, I set him in and he snaps with KKJT with a flush draw, I'm just less than 60% favourite but he gets there and I don't redraw. Left with a bowl, folded a couple of hands to my BB when the entire population of asia limps, I find AAQ2r and pot for about half my stack, Humberto Brenes gets it in with 4689ds and has me drawing dead on the flop I think.

Back on the fitness horse today. Did just over 3 miles in half an hour, waaaay worse than what I'm used to but I still can't seem to get over whatever it is in the air. Oh well, will keep on with it even if I can't do very far/fast.
Skipped the pool and headed straight to aria coz I saw they had $5/10 running even at midday, must have been from the day before. Ended up being in for ~ $6k with about that in my stack when the following happened. I don't have much in the way of reads on UTG other than that we've been talking a lot, not really about poker strategy so much as a little about game theory, the fact that at the age of 21 he's been varying degrees of pro at poker for 7 years, and in general he's a very good player. I doubt he's either particularly loose or tight in his general style but will adapt his play according to the table and is probably quite good at it.
Almost everyone at the table is straddling, I straddle for $20. He opens to $70 and picks up one caller IP and both the blinds call. I dwell for about 30 seconds and make it look like I'm considering 3betting with Js9s8x7x and just call. The fact that I remember my exact hole cards I consider important. The flop comes 7s8sKh, two checks to me, I lead $300 into $350. I figure the most likely hand in my range here is top set, so even if one of them has it they're not raising. UTG calls and SB (a french guy, fairly splashy) calls along. The turn is the
, I resist the temptation to recheck my cards and put faith in myself and lead out $600 into $1250. UTG now raises to $1500, SB folds. I decide to call, thinking that all I have to do is dodge some board pairs and I'm golden, that he's probably good enough to play the bare ace this way and that if I call and check every river I maximize my payoff rather than jamming now and having him fold his bluffs. The question about whether it's better to flat the turn or jam I guess is dependent on his image of me (likely good, he's seen me generally play tight, get paid off postflop a couple of times, bluff and get called once in a medium pot), how tight he is and how likely he is to make the bare ace play if he has it (very likely, IMO).
The river comes a
, I check, he jams, I check my cards just to make sure and call.
Very next hand I have AAK4 with 3 spades in my hand, MP (who I played last year, he was on an epic drinking session and paid me off with the nut low in high-only when I had a boat for a $3k pot at $5/5), raises, I 3bet, he 4bets and I jam and he calls. I make a flush and he also has aces.
In general, I run very sick.
Oh, and it turns out the girl doesn't have a boyfriend, she was just referring to him as her boyfriend out of habit and they broke up a couple of months ago so all good.
