On my oil rig. Just west of Shetland isles , working on top of my ROV and felt something land on my back, then fly off when I turned to look.

Turns out it was a pigeon, completer with leg tag, and it has been hanging around for the last 3 days.

Pigeoto is starting to look a little under the weather so have made up a little bowl of sugared water and given it some bread to drink and eat.

Is there anything else we can do to get this little fella (or lass) back up to the energy level it will need to fly back to whence it came?

Or are we looking at another victim of nature. ....

Also. If I can catch hold of it and get the leg tag details where can I look to pass thw owner on the info, can't help but think there's a little old man out there looking up to the sky, flat cap on his head, wondering where his pride and joy has gone while clutching onto a half of mild in his shakey hand (please, no Tikay jokes)

Shit post Nakor, such a clown.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Mick

Give it fresh water (No sugar) and some form of grain or seed of you have it. If not, try something like muesli.

If it is roosting in a nice sheltered spot, let it stay there, it will fly off when it gets it's strength back. (No doubt to eventually land on my tin roof at 5am and jump around for an hour.)
