For balance, I just checked away attendances in Championship for 12/13

Brighton average 1,378
Wednesday average 2,513 (second highest in league)

Leeds were top 2,878

Good luck to Brighton, a team on the up and having a go at promotion. Think they lost £14.7m last year though - not sure how long they can carry on doing that.

It's not sustainable. Training ground costs would be capitalised anyway, not through p&l.

Loss next year expected to be around £4-6M excluding depreciation of the stadium. Will be into almost a break even position if we sell ulloa to Sunderland or Leicester.

One off costs went through last year to be able to comply with ffp for next few years. There is a meeting in a week where clubs are probably going to ask for a change of ruling.

GUS overspent, big earners like Orlandi, Vicente, bridge, tomasz kushaczk. They were on 15-18k a week each.

Our wage bill is about 9th highest in the league, so not drastically high. Reckon we will fall to around 10-11 highest as our big earners have gone except CMS and upson.

How can you say Gus overspent though? Yes he had a budget and he probably did go over it, but the owners are the people who finalise everything & they must have known it was too much!

Ok I'm struggling to upload the data and graphs.

The financial blogger called Swiss Ramble has posted detailed summaries on twitter for Championship and Premiership.

Its a brilliant analysis.

Worth a looking up and reading.

Tighty - looks like the Hornets have picked up your lad Dyer on a free transfer.  Guess he's one of those players that is good for the Champs but unlikely to step up to Premier League?

Feels like a good solid signing given our lack of UK players last season and lack of passion shown at times when the going got tough.

I was very surprised that we are 14-1 for next season.  Poor price with the current squad.

We offered him a year and I expected him to have a stab at the top flight but he wanted two years, being in his early 30s.

Would have liked him to stay as a squad player, wouldn't have been first choice.

Great pace, skins full backs 1 on 1 for fun and plenty of teams doubled up against him but these days not so much a 90 minute player. If he could shoot, would be worth millions but the goals to chances ratio is pretty low

Will still be an effective player in the Championship, particularly on the counter-attack, but prepare to be frustrated at times.

what on earth, Leicester sign upson?

great defender in the champ, his lack of pace was rarely exposed but was on 18k a week.

sign pacey CB and we can finally play our passing game further up the pitch

perfectly fine. very experienced back up CB, might play 15-20 games if required.

young squad so on a free for a year can see this makes sense

There is some chat that Oscar Garcia may be a left field  candidate for the Celtic job, any opinions on his time with Brighton?

See my thread postings previously (during the season)

Boring, no idea what his style is, wanted him out for most of the season.

We were like 5th lowest scorers in the league. Plays one upfront and makes wingers defend.

Every post match interview he says 'I'm proud of my players' no matter what happens.

Still don't know how we got 6th, a miracle!

He's not bad enough for you to not win the league
