One of the very few TV progs i watch.
If you have got anything of any substance just put it into a specialist auction exposing it to a wider audience, that will
find its true value without having the risk of getting severely shafted.

2 1 3 4
See the fairly keen first and let him know so he'll put in a decent offer to make you not carry on. If he doesn't give what you want, pop in to see the super keen but tell him you saw 4 first. I don't see what difference it makes when you see 4, if he's not interested he's not interested - ideally you don't want to go and see him.

I was mobile when posting last night, so the order my post made no sense
1 seems super interested
2 seems fairly interested
3 seems not very interested
4 seems to have no interest
You cannot leave 1 til last. Game theory, you need leverage.
The dealers have a rough idea of which order they are being seen in from time elapsed, so leave 1 til last and you don't maximise price
the best results I have seen put the two most interested in the middle, trying to drive the most interested hard
those who go 4,3,2,1 leave themselves nowhere to go on the last two
so 4,1,2,3
Be prepared to accept a lower price from 2 if you can't squeeze 1

Yeah but sometimes the dealer makes out they are not interested so you go see them first, when really they are very very interested, cunning f*kers.

this is true
my post assumes you have a clue about who is most interested
can't recall the dealers names of the top of my head but the rude fella is a master at negotiating deception

4 - See why they not interested and use that in your pitch before another dealer asks.
2 - Get realistic valuation on it and push them for top price to see.
3 - Pointless viewing, only use for extra TV time.
1 - Put everything together and go for it.
Tbh, in previous episodes, the person who is quietest is a good show to see 3rd or last. As they sometimes do it to make sure you actually pic them first and act like they are (number 4 in this case) not intersted.
And then boom.. they really really want it.

Nothing to do with strategy but I just saw a women sell a 'painting' which her sister had created by ingesting coloured soy milk and then vomiting onto a canvas.
Unbelievable!
When asked if she was taking the mick she replied, 'No, its something my sister felt deep inside her'

Saw that too, what a load of rubbish. Can't believe that guy paid 950 for it! Limited edition, only 8 produced. Should have thought of that idea in my younger days when out the snakebites!
Art has a lot to answer for, so much is rubbish that crazy people seem to read something into when theres nothing to be read.
