Sheff Utd announce the signing of 4 players today;
"Sheffield United sign striker Febian Brandy, defenders Sean McGinty and Jasper Johns and midfielder Stephen McGinn, reports BBC Radio Sheffield."

Good signings?

McGinn was showing real promise at Watford, but suffered an 18 month layoff with a cruciate injury.  This stunted his progress and he was swallowed up with all the Udinese midfielders joining and never got a look in after he recovered around December time.  He's a bit light weight - could be a problem in L1 but good luck to him.

In - Brentford

Pain of last year has just about subsided, and I'm now bullish about our chances this season.

If that's the Mark Yeates who was once at Colchester, he was outstanding a few years back but always looked susceptible to getting a bit chunky. If he's fit, he'd be an outstanding player in this league.

crap, overweight and disinterested when on loan with us

flitted in and out of the Watford first team last year

definitely a case of if he is motivated, especially with regard to fitness

i am really starting to like the look of the Bradford squad

Yeates can get away with a lack of fitness at this level, he is a player that needs to be loved and also needs the team built around him to a degree

At his best he is easily championship quality if he is 80% motivated he will be a good signing any more will be your player of the year.

Really can't wait to get this season under way now

So happy that we  still have Davis and jones and (wells at the moment)

If we get to the transfer deadline with wells still here we will have a good season

Fergie definitely fancies Nicky Nacky and has ££££ to burn now Dwight's been sold. He also has Emile and Tyrone to offer and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Wells winds up at London Road.

I really didn't rate Yeates at Watford.  Did a job when called upon, but suffered in comparison to the players around him.  Probably will do well in L1.

Mark Yeates;

Upside - very good free kick taker.

Downsides - slow, salad dodger.
