Assombalonga SOLD to Peterboro.  Very surprised at that.  We have first option to buy him back but even so.

Any feel for the fee Chompy?

Will be looking to back Brit as L1 top scorer.  Will get a hatful in a free scoring posh team imo.

Oi oi! Daragh produces the goods yet again. Watford only wanted to loan for the season initially but we put in a 'club record bid'. That'll be more than the £1.1m we coughed up for that waste of space Tyrone Barnett then. Bradford turned down a 'similar amount' for Nicky Nacky because they didn't need the ££ after the cup run last season. Happier with Assombalonga tbh.

This week is a big one for us. If we hold on to Tommy Rowe - Blackburn are chasing him and he's been after getting back op north for a while (only a year left on his contract and we couldn't turn down £1m+) - we'll crush imo. Assombalongalonga @ 12-1 or bigger a good bet imo.

Tomlin is as fit as I've ever seen him, Swanson likewise, and the Jack Payne/McCann midfield is as good as we've ever had. Also, keeping hold of Bostwick was a massive plus. All looking good at the moment and can't see beyond us, Brentford and Wolfies.

Assomolonga has greater potential than Wells imo.

Really surprised we let him go on a permanent.  Have just piled into Posh points at 72 on Spreadex (74 on Spin)

You fancy Wolves?  Dressing room divided has meant that they are going to have premier league players sitting on the sidelines (O'Hara/Johnson).  Might take Jackett a year to sort out the mess?

Pretty sure there's a side bet coming for someone here...

We've also signed Mark Little back up for another year, which is good news. That would soften the blow of Rowe going, if he does. Still rumours about Paddy McCourt joining us, even though he said he wanted to play in the Championship. McCourt, Tomlin, Assombalonga and Swanson could be insane.

Yes - saw him play in your cup run.  The fact is he's 23, had one good season the year after being binned by Carlisle.  Assombalonga is 20 and scored goals last season at a similar rate to Wells in a weaker team.  I would be very surprised if he outscores Assombolonga this year now that Britt is playing for a better team than he is.
