Transatlantic lag/time zone differences at play

gotcha. I disagree with quite a lot of what you wrote above but no matter. Suffice to say the thought of banning you or removing the thread never crossed my mind Lee (why would it?!)

Not at all, Lee.

You did not offer to remove the thread, & I did not ask you to.

You suggested, in the perfectly amicable & friendly series of PM's we exchanged, where you said you fully understood my view, that you had no objection if we wanted to kill the thread.

I replied that I did NOT want to kill the thread, I'd rather it were allowed to run its course.

I'm sure you will happily confirm all that to be true.

There was NO threat or suggestion of a ban, or removing the thread. None at all. It was a most cordial & adult exchange of views between friends of long standing.

We happened to have different views on the matter, but that does not make either of us an enemy, or require an argument, it is a perfectly natural thing to have different views.

The biggest problem with this thread is it does not contain enough pics.

I agree. She is fearless. Best new player to watch on tv in ages. I wonder if she will need to adjust now as she comes across on the shows as a maniac?

Tighty is a lot more tasteful but it is basically the same thing. I don't believe you "know" the valets or majority of the dealers anymore than OP knows Liv Boeree. But you do have their permission which is a point.

These ladies sign the disclaimer at the start of the tournament giving permission for use of their images in media/social media.  They have no say in how that media is used or commented upon - but they have signed up to a legally binding document.  I don't believe Tighty produces such documents for valets/dealers to sign.

As for more tasteful, I just lol and lol and lol.  We all understand insinuation and innuendo, lets not insult forum members intelligence.

I've been offline and believed this had been sorted by PM. I even stated I was happy for the thread to be killed.  But it's been allowed to stand, on a par with 'Fittest Girls on TV Thread' etc.

I appreciate the fact that Outrageous and Claw have pointed out the hypocrisy, as I did by PM.  And like Fish states, different rules for different posters on Blonde. I mustn't be in the clique.  Which is funny, but at the tables I've asked people if they're on Blonde and am often met with responses along the lines of "...nope, waaay to cliquey"  I've thought the same for some time, but kept my opinions to myself on that...and instead countered them with the positive aspects of the forum.  But this thread just highlights it all.

Yup, ok so perhaps its a bit naughty of me to post this up - but if Blonde has policies on such matters then perhaps they should formally lay them out for members to see; also ensure ALL members adhere to them too.

Either kill the thread (as I requested) or ban me, I honestly don't give a flying...

Hey man, I was sticking up for you! I was saying it is hypocritical of Tighty. I said his were more tasteful, but you have to admit that "dealer of the day" is more tasteful than "Ladies...rate em". I also said that it was all good banter, and I thought it was fine!

It is not Hypocritical

"Dealer of the day" is saying "Here is a good looking dealer"

Its not insinuating anything further or any sort of innuendo. "ladies rate em" and use of language like MILF is. Or so I thought

It seems this nuance is missed on most though, or I am in a minority, so fair enough, will alter the updates from here on in

eh? why alter the updates? Because you don't like this thread and don't want to appear hypocritical?  The impression I get is that most don't have a problem with it at all, so changing seems like an odd thing to suggest Huh?

Because people seem to think I am being hypocritical. Would rather avoid that, even if I disagree with it.

The bigger picture is I would like the forum to appeal to both sexes and all sorts of players

I know two major things that put off a) some female members and b) some recreational players (we used to have far more of each) is in the case of a) sexism, overtly and in the case of b) flaming

Which is why we are sometimes seen as a bit draconian, but its all with the aim of the forum being as inclusive as possible .

Which is why I roll my eyes when the clique thing comes up. Just ludicrous, when look at the broad range of people interacting with each other across all parts of the forum

I think we need a little input from the cougar on here for balance.
