First post on PHA, posting (semi) on behalf of a friend, I doubt it's going to be a classic.

Pretty sure this is a very standard spot, where our play is obvious, but looking for a few replies for confirmation.

Not sure how to format hands properly, I'll try and give the details and make it as easy to read as possible.

------------------------------

€1 'half turbo' 6max on winamax.fr. We are 4 handed, around the time of the FT bubble. We have an above average stack, not 100% sure but MTT average is around 16/17xbb.

Blinds are 10k/20k.

We are playing 22xbb.

UTG shoves for 7xbb total.

We have both blinds covered.

bobo02210 raises 131780 to 151780 and is all-in
HERO Huh??

Sorry if you guys think this is a waste of time, but I'm having a hard time time arguing my case here, hoping a few replies will back me up and make my friend believe me Wink

OR make me look a giant plonker. But at least I'll have learnt something.

Thanx in advance.

I guess the reshovers are thinking you will fold everyone else out and go to a showdown with plenty of dead money in the pot and a chance of having the best of it?

I still think its a fold

I think with 44 here it's kinda villain dependant, esp on .fr. In a standard mid-stakes stars comp i'd be re-jamming here the vast majority of the time. I think in this spot you can sometimes be snap putting it in with 44 here or have a tough decision with 66. I think on .fr in a 1e comp around the FT bubble i'd fold here and look to expoit the guys by opening a lot and r/f a reasonable amount. People just aren't going to jam and re-jam nearly wide enough in general and you can pick up loads of chips this way.

I'm folding. We'll have better chances at easier chips than a spot where we're very rarely better than flipping. If it was a 5bb shove I might call.

Fold. I am going to assume the standard is terrible and that villain is jamming much tighter than he should be meaning that your equity is probably not as great as you think it is. On top of this I personally would be winning a lot of non showdown money on the FT bubble with above average chips.

If this is the Sunday $215 6max on stars I'm all-in as I'd have to take this edge assuming that the players left were clued up at all.
