Hi people I have just come in from the £1000 main event and managed to blow 50,000 chips and I haven't even made the next day which I am a bit disappointed in myself at. I was playing VERY well and I'm gonna share a few hands and would like some feedback.

1) 7500 stack blinds 25/50. In sb with  and Alan Mclean (loose aggressive) has limped in late position. The flop comes      and I check bb checks and Alan bets 150 into a
150 pot I think he could do this with a wide range of hands so I raise to 425 he calls quickly.  comes and I have no clue where I am so I decide to check it to him and see what he does
he now bets 1000 and I am pretty sure I am ahead so I call the 1000 (in hindsight I don't like this call as my hand is very weak and it is still early). River is the   two spades and it quickly goes check
check and Alan turns over A8 as well and we chop the pot.

2) 7000 stack blinds 50/100. Early position tight player raises to 300 I flat call with  button calls and loose player in bb calls. Flop  bb checks and raiser checks I check
(anybody bet here?) button checks. Turn  checked to me I think about betting but decide to check (?) button checks. River  and loose player bets 600 into a 1250 pot, folded to
me and i make it 3100 (Huh??) he dwells and folds. I think this was a horribly played hand and the bet on the end was way too big.

3) 9000 stack blinds 50/100. 3 limpers and I have    on the button so I call. Flop  checked around to me I take the free card.  bb now bets 350 folded to tight`player who
raises to 900 I debate 3 options of flat call, small raise and all in. My thinking is if I move in tight guy will have a hard time folding his 10 so I move in for 9000 bettor folds and tight guy calls
instantly with  . Luckily I dodge the club and I double up.

Off to sleep might post a few more later look forward to reading some comments (also see the KK folding thread for another hand there)

Firstly i'm no expert so bear with me Cheesy

1) I hate weak aces with a passion, they are so troublesome.
The call from the sb is fine no worries but i am looking to flop a big hand or find a way to chuck it away (if it's raised i muck, maybe too weak). I have played against Alan and i definitely don't believe his bet either LOL so the reraise is a great tactic but the call is scary and the turn is even more scary. I think you played it wrongly from here on in as the third spade is not a good card and you have no idea what he has, as i said this is my chance to get out of dodge and i take it.

2) I play PP's like this, very rarely raise preflop with low blinds (not worth it) i would probably bet the flop though, maybe a small weak looking bet as i find those bets pad the pot cheaply.
Once you've hit the house it's really a personal decision on checking or betting depending on the people you are up against and the flop (i like the check and i'd be praying for a diamond to hit the river).
The river reraise is an internet bet!! i always raise big on the net as folks will call without having to face their apponant when they show their rubbish! but live you only get called with big hands, so a smaller bet for me here maybe a min reraise.

3) I raise on the button with this hand, it has so much potential to hit and you get to pad the pot because you will get callers, you just need to hit. I like the check on the flop (i find if you build a pot with a flush draw there it's difficult to push them off on the river (pot odds and all that jazz) and the river allin is fine if either you have them on a 10 or a flush draw, though both is nasty Cheesy

Anyway my tuppence.

Hey JP

For what its worth, heres my tuppence.

1) I think I probably play this hand exactly the same as far as the turn. I like your raise on the flop but when it is called and the spade turns, I am very worried by bet on turn and in level 1  fold. Only in for 200 and what am I really in front of? You must have been delighted with the check check on the end and the final result.

2) This was a terrible waste. A bet of 400 or so on the turn might well induce a raise from the early position raiser (especially coming from you thumbs up) as well as at least charging a small fee to a diamond draw. Who knows, maybe the bb might even have had a pop at it. We can only speculate on how the hand might have played out from here. At the very least, assuming early guy has something like TT or JJ and 1 or 2 callers on the turn there is now a 2k+ pot to value bet at on the end, so a bet of 1200 or so might get paid off.

3) What can I say? perfectly played. I probably dont get paid off as much here as I dont raise allin, fearing a fold. As it happens, you must have hated seeing the clubs, but once again, beautiful play.
