Last 25 of an $11 comp on stars, sitting just inside top half of field.

Not long moved tables, this is first hand I've played so pretty much readless..although have notes from last year that villain had decent winning record (and was nitty but have since vacuumed my HEM doh!)

Poker Stars $10+$1 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t2400/t4800 Blinds + t600 - 8 players - http://www.handconverter.com/hands/2255763
The DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

UTG: t111182       M = 9.27
Hero (UTG+1): t133294       M = 11.11
MP1: t128808       M = 10.73
MP2: t140214       M = 11.68
CO: t195336       M = 16.28
BTN: t99542       M = 8.30
SB: t207749       M = 17.31
BB: t108937       M = 9.08

Pre Flop: (t12000) Hero is UTG+1 with
1 fold, Hero raises to t9840, 5 folds, BB calls t5040

Flop: (t26880) two spades (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t11000, BB calls t11000

Turn: (t48880) (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (t48880) (2 players)
BB bets t45000, Hero folds

* Justification for raising pre was my nitty image; once checked to figured I had to continue against a villain that can find the fold button.

Deliberated firing second barrel on turn but decided to go for cheap showdown. Then faced with this strange bet on river...

I was very much split on calling this off as figured he may be betting so big for:

Missed flush draw/Ax plus god knows what else...but decided to err on side of caution considering previous label assigned.

Thoughts on line taken?

Call/fold river?

Think I am tempted to barrel the river because it looks so much like a flush draw/seven or weak queen and they fold a lot here.  As played I think I fold the river because he could be doing this  with any of those holdings.  When you check the river he probably thinks a queen is good, knows a seven is good as you almost never have any sevens in your range and thinks his busted flush draw can represent the other two hands enough to make bluffing profitable.

seems ok, don't think i'll be putting any more money in after flop and certainly not on that river but may also consider folding pre.

~8k on the flop for me. I don't see why any bigger is necessary tbh, somewhere between 8000 and 10500 anyways.

I think flop sizing does have to be a tad smaller.

turn and river looks standard to me. Annoying tho. WP
