tight end here

the hand before, having not seen a hand all day literally, i look down at AK in the BB and a guy goes all in on the button for half my stack

Automatic call, and he turns over 33, which holds up

the next hand i have no option to limp in middle position with the 66 because the table had become very aggressive, particularly so when Rudling moved to my table with monster chips, and he was on the button

i raise, hoping my tight image will give me respect, Rudders passes...first objective achieved

but loosey mediterranean chap in BB calls

he checks the flop and then almost beats me to the middle with his second pair for 90% of his remaining chips

again, if I check the flop I am basically giving up on the chips in the middle, and any other bet would have virtually committed me to the pot

good call by him

disappointing day, no cards, no unraised pots to exploit

now off to help with the updating

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
