Hi,
I've seen a few posts about Kallakis on the forums and I'm looking to speak to someone who played with him regularly. I want to get an insight into the type of player he was? How aggressive was he? Did he have a reputation?
He is often portrayed as a pretty decent player - is this true?
I work for a TV production company and this information would be very helpful for a documentary series we are currently producing.
Cheers,
Leo

I played with him two or three times in biggish buyin tournaments.
In short he was a terrible player.
Weak passive and a complete tell box.
The only success he had was in the made for tv tournaments where he had a couple of accomplices chip dumping or soft playing him.

I knew him very well indeed, but not as well as I thought....... Most of my time spent with him was not on the poker table though, except in private games where we played £1k SNG's on hs yacht in Monte Carlo and while cruising round the Greek islands. He took me to Annabels, too, which was a dreadful place, posh peeps and loud music. Quite a story awaits the telling.

I've been to annabels! Was sat adjacent to Paul McKenna and tamara beckwith. It just struck me as an expensive members club where wealthy people to go not get pestered! But a very bad night out! Still there are always ways to improve bad nights out in posh places

I played with him a couple of times, never found him or heard anyone describe him as good or aggressive. Other stories not for broadcast!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Being unattractive is a significant advantage in prison I would say. Every cloud and all that.

I know someone very well who played quite a lot with him in big games.
He was a very very poor poker payer by accounts, but then if I'd pinched 750milly from the bank I'd be a terrible player too.
