Some hot 3 way action for you now.
Philip Helm raises to 22k preflop. Marc Naalden calls, and so does Edgar Skjervold on the big blind.
Now, brace yourself for some fireworks...
Flop =
check, check, check
Turn =
check, check check
River =
check, check, check
Mayhem!!!

A bit of information for you on the first player eliminated from today's final:
8th place went to Johan Bergquist, a 37 year Swedish player from Stockholm.
Although he plays high stakes poker on a regular basis, he is in fact a CEO of a successful IT business. Poker is merely a hobby for him.
A bit like me really, except I play small stakes, am not a CEO, and play full-time rather than as a hobby. Apart from that we're like two peas in a pod.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

A lot of small pots going on, three of which were taken by Philip (but there's a little under 20k in there each time with the blinds at 4000 - 8000 so that's not too shabby).
Another one was raised by Shek Chi Hung to 26k, called by the small and big blinds (Philip and Anina). Anina bet out on the K 9 4 flop to take it down... so that's one back from Shek to her.

Young Yank Marcus Gonsalves, newly kitted out in his PokerStars shirt, is on the lager already (there's been a 15 minute break).
Edgar Skjervold, wonder-Norwegian, used HIS break to raise his stack in the other tournament to 14k (unbelievable).

Edgar just raised on the button to 22k, and saw a flop with big blind Shek of
. Check-check. Turn:
. Shek bet 22k, was raised to 62k. Then he got out a tissue and mopped his brow (we love the dramatics here) before eventually passing.

Shek has been putting the pressure on with the old all-in maoeuvre - twice he pushed Philip Helm off a pre-flop raise by shoving the lot in. The second time Philip raised under the gun to 26k, and asked for a countdown when Shek, on his immediate left did it again. Finding the call to be a rather large 167,000 more, he passed sharpish.
Other than that, Edgar called on the sb, Philip raised 20k in the bb, he called.
Flop: 5 2 J. Check, Philip 35k, Edgar passes. This is the second blinds battle which Philip Helm has won. Not sure how much longer Edgar will let him get away with it...

Shek Chi Hung OUT in 7th place, winning £29,260
Edgar raised to 31k on the cutoff. Philip flat called on the button -then Shek on the small blind moved all in again... Edgar dwells - - - and folds, but Philip calls!

And then, according to Snoopy, that weird slow clap started as Shek got up.

Young American Markus Gonsalves has doubled up off Mads Andersen.
They hold KJ and AT respectively.
Flop comes T-K-7
Mads raises, Markus moves all-in, Mads calls.
No help arrives and Markus doubles through.
Mads still has in excess of 1 million chips. A mere drop in the ocean for him.

Speaking of Gonsalves...
The 21 year old American from San Diego California, qualified for the London EPT event last year but requested a seat change to this tournament in order to meet up with his Scandinavian buddies. In hindsight, a wise move!

An inevitable battle of the blinds confrontation for you now.
Hilm made up the blind and Andersen checked.
Flop =
Hilm bet 20k, Andersen called.
Turn =
Hilm bets again - 40k
Andersen reraises to 140k
Hilms gives a lengthy dwell be4 calling.
River =
Hilm checks, Andersen immediately checks behind him.
Hilm shows
for a cheeky trapcheck, but Mads obviously smelt a rat and failed to bite.
