-   Does she perform it alone?
-   Does she work from home?
-   Does she train other people how to do this?

It wasn't a shot in the dark, it was an educated guess based on the information available. The OP was a huge clue in itself in that it wasn't going to be a mainstream occupation. Given that she was self-employed and used her hands limited the options considerably.

Does that mean I have to do one now? Maybe I could get you to guess what I do for a living and when someone works it out they could explain it to me!
