Shameless bump.

We are now 11th best tourist attraction in Nottingham. (ranked by TripAdvisor)

To be able to use the 'One of the top ten things to do in Nottingham' would be fantastic.

Will also be looking at some of the other suggestions over the coming months.

Thanks for all input so far,
Glenn.

Never folding... Bros just coming at us. We have a pair, if we're beat, we can always flop a set.

Just thinking out loud...

how about some kind of freeroll / learn to play poker fun event/ in a sort of "open night for Nottingham"?
Encourage those who are interested/curious/nervous about the poker world , but are too afraid to go there!
Maybe one section of the club, one evening....so members could bring a newbie friend  Smiley

Only new sign ups on the night:
Learn to play!
freeroll comp
nibbles/drinks maybe?!
free online voucher
etc

I dont know what sort of budget you have but one thing id suggest doing is door to door leafleting in the local area. You can use either Royal Mail, Dor-2-Dor, TNT and that way you can look at getting anything between 10,000-100,000 doors leafleated in a very short space of time (if you use the Royal Mail it would be done within 5 days) and you could put on a "new members/welcome evening" on one of your quiet nights and offer a free-roll and some free food & drink and also a competition where a winner wins a holiday as that would guaranteed to get people in and thats when you put on the charm offensive.

Hi Guys,

Bringing this back up the agenda after the Grand Prix promo has finished. Thanks for all the feedback we always welcome ideas from players.

http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g186356-d1466976-Reviews-or20-Dusk_till_Dawn-Nottingham_Nottinghamshire_England.html#REVIEWS

Thanks for anyone who has kindly reviewed. Now 9th best attraction in Nottingham and top 10 was the aim Smiley

We're putting together a long term structure which will help stability and getting new players in. I'm now working on google+ and improving our awareness through other platforms, even youtube.

Also we've been nominated BEST UK CARDROOM at The British Poker Awards: http://www.thebritishpokerawards.com/ (Shameless plug)

I will be floating some idea of different ways to help DTD get 'viral' as it were. Especially during our bigger events.

Thanks again for the support.

In case any of you haven't poked your head through the curtain or peeked through the blinds.

The Trickett Room is finished and here are a few snaps.

For a full overview of the Trickett Room project have a look here as it has been nominated in the Northern Design Awards 2013.

The professional shots look very good : http://www.northerndesignawards.com/entry/2013/tricketts-room
