USA Sat Nav

Silly question but when you use sat nav programs on the phone does it just do it or would it use wifi/3g mins or whatever?  I mean, if you use it in another country, is it really free to use or will you get phone charges of some kind?

I use Nav free in Florida every week when I am there.  It is fine.....the voices annoy me but they get you there.

So the nav free does not require no data connection?. Dont you get charged then to connect to GPS? I use it over here all the time never a sat nav but thought i would be charged over there? Tmobile

There is no charge for connecting to GPS Maureen, just make sure nav free is downloaded before you go and switch data off when you get there.
