Didn't someone on here once describe Joe Hart as world class?
Someone said Wilshire is as well.

lots of people have said for years that England could win the World Cup soon. I wouldn't worry about the odd player being over rated.

Dipped on him harshly. Definite mistake, but as it is pre-season, you have to overlook that.

Wish I could suggest someone better, but if he's our best we're in trouble

We are having to hold on against Scotland, it is pathetic. There is not as much between the sides as the FIFA rankings would like you to think.

He was in poor form and that's carried on from last season, so we need to look elsewhere for a couple of games. He's a liability at the moment.

Also loved the fact that Hodgson used the opportunity of a friendly to test out a new idea he had for a midfield pairing: lampard with gerrard.

Mmmmmmm - Joe Hart .... nuff said. Gerrard ..... legs 'starting to go', not the player he was. Rooney ..... unfit, clueless, waste of space. Rickie Lambert ... pleased for him, hardly the future tho.
What do we learn from last night's game?
The England football team is average - the Scotland football team is very average.
There are no lengths the money grabbing leeches at the FA will not go to, to squeeze every last egg from the Golden Goose - expect the '150th anniversary' to continue for the next 150 years (well that's what it feels like!)
A latter-day England v Scotland game is a pale shadow of yesteryear, especially off the pitch - as 'modern' English football fans no longer beat the crap out of the Tartan Army for merely turning up, expect the English FA to re-instate a more regular slot for this 'money-spinner' ...... unless it clashes with a One Direction concert date. of course.
All in all, a trifle underwhelming.
