why is bloom allowed to bet on football when he owns brighton last week  an accrington stanley chairman got a banned by the fa for it??

theres a lot of rules cant bet on games in the same competition as your club and all kind of things.

does bloom mostly do the premier league if brighton ever get there would cause him some hassle

No.  He bets in pretty much every league in the world.  Matthew Benham (who owns Brentford) is pretty much the same.  They are both totally open about what they do for a living so I guess they must have some arrangement if those are the rules but I was under the impression it was just their games they couldnt bet on.

It is.

In England, Players and club officials are allowed to bet on any match, even in their division, except their own games

As we have seen in Scotland in the Ian Black case, things are abit murkier

was sure i read the rule somewhere in that case from the other week just had a look at the fa rules same competition isnt allowed
