It was at one stage, 2325 entries in June 2012. Might be again in September 2013 too I suppose

Not sure if a Goliath in the past or now has gone past that, or any other event

The largest European tournament record is held by the Goliath with 1822 unique entries.

We also hold the record with 2,568 total entries.

Is this still held by DTD for the Grand Prix?

As far as I know, whilst the Grand Prix is our 'baby', our Grand Prix does NOT hold the record for the largest field in a land based poker tournament, the PokerStars £500 UKIPT Nottingham hold's this record with 1625 unique players, the figure of 2000 + for the DTD Grand Prix was not unique players, it includes players that play multiple Day 1's eg. Wadey and Frankie = 10 players because they played every all 5 day 1's, when in effect, they are 2 players who had 8 re-entries.

Therefore, the Goliath has would 'only' need 1625 unique players to now hold the European land based record, maybe someone from Grov could just confirm that 1822 'unique entries' means 'unique players names' (I think it does because if someone re-enters the next day, I think Card Room magic puts them as a re-entry rather than a unique player, where as our DTD tourney system counts the player again - hence our Grand Prix not holding record) ... if someone can just confirm, I'll let PokerStars know their record has been busted and they need to pull their finger out!?

Cheers Rob

Nooooo, I'm 99% sure Goliath has beat PokerStars UKIPT 1625 record, it's quite frankly amazing achievement if the 1822 are unique players, just asking for 100% confirmation unique entries means unique players, and confirming our Grand Prix number is an entry number, not a unique.

Genuinely wasn't a set up, it's a hard record to research.
