Really tough position on the flop, I would like to know thoughts on checking back the flop, and obviously what the best decision is once he has raised. Villain is unknown but seems solid so far.

Villain $1626.50 raises co $30
Hero  $2877.50 raises btn $105
villain calls.
Flop  villain checks, hero bets $160, villain raises $500...

Hero???

I don't play this game that much or this high but checking back the flop seems like a decent option as we can't get it in in great shape. We can get bluffed into on the turn. I guess we fold to pot/pot if we don't houseup though.

would defo bet the flop, people seem so scared to move money about in 6O still playing poker at the end of the day.

his raise size is awful, looks impossible to be bluffing and is just stupid with 77 unless he just thinks you're a bit splashly and will stack off with a 5. He prolly just has 75 but this raise is too big to peel one of so im gonna fold now, only actually have 8 outs vs 75 and the chance he has actually got 77 and has made a bad flop raise not be discounted.

Checking the flop is bad imo.

Also I don't like 3betting these hands (this one ok-ish cos triple suited) with deepish stacks even IP as the value of Aces is pretty much only in the NFD's postflop, not like 4cards where you could stack off plenty of dry flops that wont have necessarily improved your hand. I think in 6O you get a lot more value from keeping the pots multi way and basically trying to set-over-set someone or get them puttng money in with dominated draws. Would have just called PF for me.

Jeez, there are almost NO turn cards we will like, barring an Ace or a Diamond, & neither of those are clean outs. If either come & he pots again, do we still like life? Not much, imo.

I think, as LilDave said, in these spots we are really playing the two NFD's rather than the Aces - we don't much like Aces unless we hit one, or the board pairs, & in the latter, case, someone might well bink with his dangler.

I know I'm King Nit, but I pretty much give up on this flop, as I can't face two more streets in 6O with a paired board.

6O is SO different to 4 card, we gotta be playing nut hands.

Villain was Piamenti. I'm always 3 betting on the button here, flatting anywhere else.

would rather 3b a slightly worse single suited AA**** hand and get it HU, and flat this hand and take it multi-way.

Also I'd wanna 3bet this more in Earlier position and try buy the BTN (get guys behind to fold) and also if you're 3betting EP opens there is more chance of them having slightly worse AA**** and making a very bad get in.
