villain is jthaddeus, ranked number 1 in uk and top 10 in world atm.

he views me as probably bad lol

his flop size is bigger than ive ever seen a "good" reg use. does he put me on 88-99 kinda hand and doesnt want to double barrel? does he not wanna bet small as he thinks i sometimes defend a high?

anybody got any thoughts?

I really rate him, always hate having him on my left.

Nice flop

Perhaps he feels that 5k, as it looks like he;s never folding, gets a few more folds than 3,477 or w/e silly number most people use, maybe he was playing loads of tables and wasn't really concentrating...

Also Patrick, i think we need to remember that pocketfives rankings do not have any direct correlation with who is the best/worst players, sure it's prolly safe to assume that if you've held a position at or near the top of the rankings for a while then you're prolly a good player but being thinking being #1 on P5's makes you the best is exactly how poker doesn't work...

Pessagno #1 in the world atm i'm fairly sure if you asked 200 HS tourney regs who is the best player in the world at online MTT's you wouldn't even get 2 people saying him...

I've no doubt Jude is a very good player he's been winning at online poker tournaments for years and years was more of a general point than a dig at him just so everyone is clear about that.

I think he wants you to think he has a strong pair but is worried about the flush draw & just wants to take the pot down, when in fact he prolly has A-K/A-Q himself. People do tend to bet bigger with strong starting hands when there's a flush draw out there...

I think he had JJ and bet that size on the flop because he hates Jacks and wants to protect his hand because there is a flush draw on the flop. Then when you c/r it is an easy fold for him because he puts you on a set, and besides he doesn't want to go broke with only one pair.
