Think people accept re entries. They obv help to boost prizepools which can only be a good thing. I personally just disliked the merging of stacks concept as people with deeper pockets obv had a greater chance to effectively buy a big stack.   Maybe introduce something similar without merging stacks. Play as many day1s as u like but only ur biggest stack goes thru. If u qualify with a small stack u can try again and if u don't improve u can still progress with the small stack cos u wouldn't have forfeited it.  Just a thought....

This £150 and all scheduled DTD events are NOT merge.

Cheers Aces

I personally think a compromise between re-entry and merging is the way forward.

Let people play as many times as they want to but only take their biggest stack through.

I just see this listed as £150 tourney with no reg. fee.

Is this a different format or have I missed something?

No, its a normal format

£150+18

No merges, +1 re-entry. Pretty much back to basics

(CHIPS: 30,000

STRUCTURE: Festival Structure >

CLOCK:

Day 1’s - 40 mins Live / 16 mins Online (12 levels)

Day 2   - 40 Mins

RE-ENTRY:  "+ 1 Same Day Re-Entry" and "Next Day Re-Entry" is permitted i.e. Players can Re-Enter once on the same day within the late reg period for live and online Day 1's AND/OR Re-Enter into all future Day 1's. Full Re-entry details Here

Once a player makes Day 2 they will forfeit their stack if they attempt another Day 1. For example, if you make it through the Online Day 1a but on the last hand you get your AA busted and are left with a shortstack of 20,000 - just 5 BB's , and you decide to play Friday Day 1b live at the Club and this time you make Day 2 with 240,000 chips, you will start Day 2 with a stack of 240,000 chips, but if you busted Day 1b - you will now not have made Day 2)

40 mins through is awesome and really liking the 12 levels on Day 1 instead of 15. Structure really really works. Gets more people back for Day 2 also playing the side comps.
I hope the 12 level day 1 format stays as a norm.

Good luck everyone this weekend.

Today currently has 57 runners needing 220 plus. Very low number, even allowing for competing events. A head scratcher

Anyway late registration is til very late, so with low runners, massive value and a 40 minute clock, if you can get to DTD it will be worth your while

Keep in touch with the comp at http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/result-info.php?id=3723
